'We were in New Plymouth with extended family and some who had come from overseas. It was our first time there and we all enjoyed it so much. Such a cool place and felt right at home. The house is really nice and spacious with great sunset views in summer. A good time had by all. The lift was a bonus feature in the 3 level house after we had all done the Pouakai Tarns. We will be back one day for sure :) Thank you for sharing your Buller Noir House with us.'

'Rusty fans, flickering lamps, and broken open window in the garage aside this was a beautiful and well maintained property that would have probably earned a 5 star review however almost all of the windows arent fully sealed when closed and when we left the lights on after sunset we had to remove about 100 beetles from the dining area and about 100 more from aeound the only TV on the property'

'Lovely locale at the foot of Mt. Taranaki with heaps of hiking tracks nearby. Local host and landowner Jarene couldn't have been a more hospitable and gracious host.'

'Lovely host, beautiful view, we could see the Milky Way at night, everything we needed in the cabin and easy to get to the hikes around taranaki. Highly recommend. '

'Everything would have been perfect … because it’s such a beautiful house, but it’s like a sauna in the Summer without air-conditioner. Only one ceiling fan in the four bedrooms. Lights were annoying to switch on and off.'

'House was OK but needs a thorough clean, especially around stove. On arrival found that the corner cupboard door, by island, was off its hinge and my husband fixed it. Would have been obvious when cleaned. No soap or liquid soap in bathroom. No Guest Book with instructions. The garage door could only be opened with the remote ie no open/shut button. Queen bed had very soft mattress and the bed squeeks. Pillow not great.'

'Rooms well laid out and very comfortable. Bonus was a large walk in wardrobe come dressing room. Lots of shelves to put belongings on.'
