Villa Marietta - Idyllic Country Villa With Large Private Pool

Beautiful villa...Villa Marietta is a magnificent restored detached country house set in wonderful rustic grounds with a fantastic private swimming pool with panoramic views of the historic town of Cisternino. The town of Cisternino is under a 5 minute drive away and Ostuni, Martina Franca, Locorotondo and Alberobello only 15 to 30 minutes away. The whole region is widely considered to be the most beautiful and unspoilt in Puglia. You are only 15-20 minutes by car from excellent sandy beaches. The upper floor of the villa is available for rental, There are 3 large double bedrooms 1 with ensuite shower room all with comfortable mattresses and a family bathroom. Bright modern open plan Kitchen diner and lounge with the kitchen being equipped with all amenities including dishwasher, fridge freezer split level oven and hob. The outside boasts a fantastic modern sfioro swimming pool built to the highest standards, there is a fully equipped shower room, pool house with fridge/freezer and cooking facilities, there is also a stone built BBQ. The large terrazza offers dining facilities in the form of a large 10 seater cube rattan furniture. Why not do some sun bathing and relax on one of the modern sun beds that enjoys unobstructed sunshine from sunrise till dusk.
Private appartment on lower floor, consisting of 2 double bedrooms and kitchen/diner is occasionally used by owner but if more bedrooms are required please contact owner.
We are flexible with arrival and departure dates so that you can take advantage of cheaper mid week Ryanair flights.

Logement très fonctionnel et super propre ce qui est vraiment très appréciable. La déco générale n'est pas hyper moderne mais je pense que le propriétaire rénove au fur et à mesure car l'une des salles de bain est neuve. Wifi disponible sur demande du mot de passe à Vito. La maison est bien située pour visiter les villes aux alentours. La piscine non chauffée (hormis par le soleil !) est très grande, à débordement et se remplit automatiquement tous les soirs lorsqu'il manque de l'eau. Vito est très réactif, et Sante aussi (même par message), il a été très attentif à nos besoins. Nous avons passé une excellente semaine à la villa Marietta.

Exceptional Villa and outside space

I must admit I was a little apprehensive booking our stay as we have always had short city breaks in Italy and this was the first time we decided to book a villa for two weeks. My fears were completely unfounded as we had a fantastic time, the outside space is exactly what we wanted and more. With a dining area, poolside kitchen and barbeque the owners have obviously given a lot of thought to this area and no expense has been spared. This takes nothing away from the Villa, we found it extremely comfortable. With three double bedrooms, all of them spacious (you can get three singles in one of them) this was perfect for our family holiday. If you wanted to have some respite from the hot weather, with three settees in the kitchen/lounge area there is enough room to accommodate everyone. Even with all this, the room felt extremely airy and cool. The villa is ideally situated with easy access to the main town of Cisternino, and with beaches at Torre Canne a short drive away and the delightful towns of Ostuni and Locototundo nearby they are a must to visit. My personal favourite was a little restaurant in Locototundo which had at least ten yearly Michelin recommendation stickers on the door. You might have to wait a little time for the fresh pasta to be made but it is worth the wait. Unfortunately I cannot remember the name (the red wine was good too)!! but it is in the pedestrian part of the town, so just look for the stickers! There are some decent restaurants in Cisternino too, look out for the ones where you can choose your meat and they cook it for you. You buy the meat by the kilo and is extremely good value for money. Communication with the owner was extremely good before and during our stay and nothing was too much trouble. We were fortunate the owners relative lives close by and he made sure everything was at it should be and offered advice on local restaurants and places to visit. Ask him about the local wine too! I cannot recommend this Villa highly enough and my only regret is the bar has been set so high anywhere else will disappoint.

Jolie maison avec grande piscine et four à pizza !!!

La maison de Sante est très agréable et situé au fond d’un impasse très calme à 5 min de Cisternino. Toutes les chambres sont climatisées et ce fut très appréciable car en août les températures sont très chaudes dans les Pouilles. A l’extérieur Il y a une grande piscine très propre avec de nombreux bains de soleil, une cuisine d’extérieure ainsi qu’un barbecue en pierre et un four à pizza à bois. Nous avons passé de supers soirées à préparer nous-mêmes nos pizzas. Une belle occasion de se prendre pour un véritable pizzaiollo ! Santé a été très réactif pour répondre à toutes nos demandes durant notre séjour. Je recommande vivement sa maison, nous reviendrons prochainement. En plus elle est idéalement située à proximité de Alberobello, Locorontodo, Monopoli et Polignano a mare.

An immaculate villa with fist rate pool facilities. All rooms comfortable and well appointed.

Villa Marietta is very well positioned to explore the central area of Puglia with its beatiful hill top towns and easily accessible beaches. The pool area was a real bonus for our children and the roofed dining space privided welcome shade on hotter days.The villa was very well equipped with both indoor and poolside cooking facilities. All of the rooms were very spacious, comfortable and well appointed.The propery offers much more space than we expected and during summer months really does ensure you make the most of the opportunities to eat outdoors and enjoy the views of Cisternino and the surrounding olive groves. The owners, Sante and Dawn provided useful information regarding the area and were easy to communicate with regarding booking and payments. We booked Villa Marietta for a special holiday to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary and it did not disappoint!

Perfect for our family holiday, thank you.

Villa Marietta was just perfect for our family holiday this year. We have stayed in many villas across Europe over the years and I think this one topped them - it was so well equipped, excellent supply of linen and towels, super comfortable beds and Santa and Vito were so quick to respond if we had any questions and were really helpful - thank you so much. We had such a great holiday, Italy is a beautiful country and we are seriously considering moving there in the future - I can certainly see me and my family there. It is such a lovely area as well, and we managed to visit lots of stunning places. We do intend on coming back to Cisternino again and that area as there was so much we didn't see and do. The weather was surprisingly good for October - I had prepared for it not being too hot in the day so was pleasantly surprised when we had lots of lovely sunny days - the kids were in the pool everyday, which was crazy cause the water was cold due to the time of year - I did manage a few dips myself so it wasn't that bad! It did get a little chilly in the evenings which I hadn't prepped for, so wish I had taken a few more jumpers but all was good when in the Villa, as the heaters provided gave out a sufficient supply of heat. Thanks for letting us rent your beautiful villa, I would certainly recommend it.
