Set in the boutique residential community of Oyster Bay I, 'Charlotte's Morning Sun' is a stunning 5-star waterfront home that offers unobstructed water views and breathtaking vistas of Oyster Bay. Flowing generously over two levels, Charlotte features 4.5 bathrooms and 4 light-filled bedrooms, one of which has it's own balcony that feels like it's floating on water. The stylish design offers private and peaceful lounge and dining areas that embrace sweeping bay views that stretch uninterrupted to the horizon. A state-of-the-art chef's kitchen, a generously-sized waterside screened porch as well as a large observation area allows effortless indoor outdoor living. On the first level you'll find the living room, observation area, chef's kitchen, dining area, 2 bedrooms and a wonderful waterside screened porch. Upstairs you'll find 2 more bedrooms, one with a private balcony. Outside, enjoy exclusive access to the bay via a private dock/boat-slip, or bathe in the outdoor beach shower surrounded by a grassy coastal garden. Just a short drive to the beach, local restaurants and shops, 'Charlotte's Morning Sun' offers an opportunity to secure a luxury vacation home in an exceptional setting. Note: The Oyster Bay I community where this property is located offers a boat ramp that is exclusive to the homes in this community. Water depth may not be suitable for all boats and dock/ramp usability cannot be guaranteed. You can crab and fish at this community harbor area.

Great views

The views at this place are fabulous. It's a great location for waking up with the sunrise while drinking a cup of coffee on the upper deck (which is one of the features that sold me on this place). We rented off-season and there wasn't much to do around town, so we spent a LOT of time in the house itself. The bathrooms are newer and clean and the beds we did use were comfortable. Plenty of TVs and viewing options (Apple TV, Amazon, cable, etc). There were minor maintenance needs but nothing that made it unbearable and we were told some things were set to be fixed over the winter anyway. Overall, we enjoyed our stay 😊

The Perfect 5-day Pandemic Escape

After being vaccinated, the GP's demanded to see their grand child... So we grabbed this place which we had been eyeing for a while (but never seemed to line up the dates). It was only available for 6 days, and we could only do 5. No linens, no problem; my wife and mother inlaw preferred bringing our own anyways. The management office was very easy to work with, answering all of our questions quickly and efficiently. The house was exactly as described, right one the Oyster Bay, facing east. Sunset the next morning was breath-taking. We had a little problem with the hot-water heater the night we arrived; texted the office before 9am, and the maintenance person was at the door before 9:30am, and fixed it quickly. Other than wine glasses (as other reviews have pointed out), the house has got everything else, especially if you enjoy the local seafood. I even got local oysters and learned to shuck them with the tools I found in the kitchen. By the way, the wooden hammers are for blue crabs; it does not work on oysters. Despite of windy weather (in March) 4 out of 5 days with 2 rainy ones, we spent every minute we could in the nearby Chincoteague wildlife refuge and even squeezed in two beach walks. Do get a pass! We saw the famous ponies, deer, all sorts of birds, and fox squirrels. The books in the house helped us identifying the birds, too. The TV in the living room has all sorts of options, which both confused (I counted 7 remotes) but also enjoyed by grandpa (not much into walking)... Overall, this place is a real gem and we'd love to come back again in a heartbeat, if we could be lucky enough to find any openings...

Gorgeous views!

We loved the decks and the large windows overlooking the beautiful water. This was a perfect house for us, a group of 4 couples. We had a great time. Suggest adding a few more wine glasses and making sure that the propane tank has gas in it. Everything else was wonderful!

Beautiful home and amazing views!

The views from this home are amazing from sunrise to evening. The house itself is so tasteful and wonderfully designed. The layout is great and perfect for a small family or a group. The house had everything we needed and is just a short drive to town and the beach. We’ll be back!

This is a spacious, lovely house directly on the water with views of Assoteague Island. Comfortably accommodated my in-laws, my teenagers, and my husband and I. We loved the local food trucks - especially Cosa Pizza!

Kitchen came stocked with plenty of pots (and crab pots) and pans and dishes. The downstairs area was perfect for your large group. The bedrooms are best for families with kids--the bunk beds can be a challenge for us older folks. All in all, we were very pleased and I LOVED all the balconies.

Beautiful Waterfront Home!

Charlotte’s Morning Sun’s design makes the most its spectacular waterfront setting with spacious decks and screen porch that provide the perfect vantage to enjoy bay-front breezes and watch cormorants dive for fish. Inside the house, the top-notch cabinetry, woodwork, and interesting architecture show that this home was built with love. The house was clean and tidy, and we appreciated welcoming touches such as labeled light switches and binoculars for use by guests. We were comfortable and relaxed in this beautiful home, and we hope to return one day!

A Lovely, Large, and Well-Appointed, Home with Views of Paradise and Wildlife

We (group of 5) stayed at Charlotte's Morning Sun in early April for a long "ladies' weekend." We were blown away by the house and the amount of space we had. There are 4 bedrooms (2 upstairs and 2 downstairs) which could reasonably sleep 7-8 people (9 if you double up in the king and queen and have someone on the pull-out in the bunk room). 3 of the 4 rooms have their own bathroom w/shower - the downstairs master has both a tub and shower. There are numerous spaces for hanging out -- we gravitated towards the living room and kitchen most evenings. In warmer weather, I imagine the screened in porch with dining table is lovely! The house is tucked away in a nice, quiet neighborhood. We only saw two people in a house nearby the entire weekend (they were very friendly). Mind you, we were there in "off-season". You cannot beat the views from this home -- they are completely unobstructed and you can see all the way over to Assateague. We saw so many waterfowl from the house (heron, bald eagle, buffleheads, osprey, sea gulls, egrets, geese, ducks, etc). You would definitely need a rental car for your stay, but the house is still conveniently located very close to "downtown Chincoteague" -- about a 10 min. drive and many of the restaurants, etc. on Maddox Blvd. The house is well-appointed - the kitchen is fully stocked for cooking and dining.There is a washer/dryer off of the downstairs living area. It should be noted that linens (sheets/towels) do not come with this rental. For those traveling from afar, highly recommend that you rent those through the rental company. It is a $148 additional charge. We were a bit dismayed, however, to arrive late in the evening and find that the charge does not include actually making up the beds. That would have made a perfect trip even better. Check-in and check-out process is incredibly easy -- especially if you download the Hospitality App. A "welcome" bag is provided with a paper towel roll, individual packets for laundry and dishes, etc.

Absolutely lovely bayfront home, with stunning views!!!

We had a fabulous weekend at this lovely home. We just loved the house and the stunning water views!! We had four couples staying for long weekend. The house has four bedrooms and each couple had a bathroom, which worked well. It was a lovely home, yet homey and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware, dishes, etc. - perfect for our group since we love to cook. We didn't get to use the outside patio and deck due to rainy and colder weather, but we look forward to renting this house again in the future - for sure!!!! The sunrises are breathtaking when weather cooperates!! Can't wait to experience more of them! We did get out to bike and explore the island, find the ponies, etc., which we thoroughly enjoyed. This home/location is truly a special place! We all loved it!!

Great site and very comfortable house with lots of porches

The house is very comfortable. New construction with nice wood floors and new kitchen with open floor plan. Great for families as well as couples looking for an escape. The greatest attribute is the multiple porches from which the sunrise and the marsh with lots of birds can be viewed and sun downers can be sipped. Four bathrooms is a big plus. Only complaint is that you either have to bring your own linens (sheets and towels) or pay an exorbitant extra fee to have them provided, and no bath soap or shampoo provided. This was irritating since we stayed only two nights and came from far.

Absolutely Stunning!

As soon as you walk through the door all of your cares melt away. This is how vacation is supposed to feel... The good vibrations continue throughout every square inch of interior and exterior space. Beautiful home, beautiful views of the water and Assateague Island and Wildlife Refuge from the entire first floor. Would love to stay again and for a week next time!
