'We visited Le Clos de Venise 4 years ago and decided to come this year back to celebrate our wedding anniversary as we love the place and its gracious and kind hostesses Francine and Claude. It felt like coming home again. We can warmly recommend the accommodation to anyone. Despite the ongoing struggle with Covid and its variants, we knew we would feel safe here as it is away from the main village road and therefore away from people but not too far so you still feel like part of the community:...

'Ruime woonst, mooi ingericht in de stijl van weleer ! Kasteelwaardig ! Zeer rustig gelegen. Mooie uitvalsbasis om met gehuurde e-bikes langs Le Cher en La Loire kastelen te bezoeken.'

'Het vakantiehuis was boven verwachting. Zeer ruime splinternieuwe bungalow ( we waren de 4e huurder) met alle faciliteiten aanwezig. Rustig gelegen. Vriendelijke gastheer en gastvrouw. Een aanrader.'

'Place was excellent, great for a cycling trip with work mates. Slight issue when we turned up, but Giles sorted out straight away. Place was great five stars all over. The only thing that was annoying was the flies. Thousands of them. We went out and bought about ten fly strips which when we put up had hundreds of flies on them. Rooms were excellent, massive fire place which was great. Hot water always there and a great swimming pool. It was a bit damp and musky in the downstairs bedrooms....

'We have had such a wonderful stay in this cosy and well equipped cabin. Although it's small everything you could possibly need was there. It was super clean and comfortable and set in the most beautiful garden. The bathroom/shower were excellent and the bed felt very snug behind its curtains. The air-conditioning was also much appreciated. We were able to walk easily into Amboise in around 10 minutes. The vires for he deck is lovely and we thoroughly enjoyed sitting outside in the peaceful...

'Tres bonne Premiere expérience Troglodyte; Venus en automne en famille pour quelques jours. Julie et Gregory Sont très chaleureux, le logement est très propre et joliment décoré, le jardin est superbe et la vue magnifique (orienté ouest, surplombant la Loire). Côté équipement, lits confortables, cuisine petite mais fonctionnelle et douche parfaite. A refaire'

'Le wifi mentioné n'existe pas (on ne l'a trouvé nulpart, tandis que des autres étaient visible sur nos i-phones).On a trouvé par hasard une poubelle REMPLIE dans une armoire (en cherchant des sacs pour la poubelle).Seulement le dernier jour on a reçu l'info comment on devait separer les poubelles (recyclage).Tant des lampes cassées (toilette en bas et salle de bain).Mais la maison est un rêve.'

'On a main road but set well back so nice and quiet for sleeping. Good sized bathroom and kitchen with quality appliances, fast wifi, comfortable bed, pleasant patio.The only item that we might have liked is a more ergonomic living room couch but that's a very minor issue. Denis is most welcoming host, we especially appreciated the coffee and other break items he provided.'

'We waren hier voor de tweede keer. Het zwembad was wederom heerlijk, met nieuwe ligstoelen erbij. De tuin is ruim, met veel ruimte om spelletjes te doen. De benedenslaapkamer was fijn, eetkamer en keuken ook heel ruim. Boven is het wat krapper en de slaapkamers zitten aan elkaar vast. Je moet door de andere kamers. Niet fijn als je naar de badkamer of het toilet wilt. Ook is de badkamer boven erg klein. De badkamer beneden is lastig om in te douchen door het ontbreken van een douchegordijn of...

'Sehr liebenswert eingerichtetes Haus, alles vorhanden für ein paar schöne Tage. Gut fand ich die Infomappe mit Vorschlägen und Ratschlägen. Unkomplizierte und nette Vermieterin. '

"This hotel is actually very decent for a one-star hotel. The room is comfortable, though the bathroom is really tiny. Reception staff is very welcoming and friendly. Plenty parking availability. Good breakfast. No luxury of course, but can't be expected at this price. There is no restaurant, but a lot of dinner options within close distance."
