'We turned up at the hotel for a 3nights extended bank holidays weekend just to find out that the hotel was privatised and fully booked with nowhere to sleep in town or in the neighbouring villages !!! Owner refused to speak to Hotels.com since apparently he has only signed a contract with Expedia (but didn’t acknowledge it was the same company!) and refused to speak English... Hotels.com was not able to sort it out not find anywhere else and we had to drive back home 3hrs in the other direction...

'A wonderful tranquil location in a rustic house. Great breakfast and very attentive and helpful hosts who were only too happy to help make our stay highly enjoyable. The town is exquisite and the surrounding countryside perfect for walking and sightseeing. Highly recommend B&B to spend some quality time at.'

'As soon as the gate was opened we knew we had arrived at a special Chambre d'hote. The property was well maintained, welcoming hosts and very comfortable and ekegant rooms. We had a delightful evening meal with the hosts and another couple. We are on a cycle holiday and were thrilled to have our laundry done for us overnight. In the morning our bikes had even been turned to the direction we were going to travel.'

'This place truly does have all ingredients for a special time off the beaten track. The ancient house breaths history and is located in a remote village while Chablis and Noyers-sur-Serein are within short distance. We stayed in the large bedroom, full of authentic details with private bathroom. Good working WiFi. Owners are friendly, very helpful and also speak English. Parking is possible on the front and there's a wonderful green garden to relax. Just outside are several walking paths along...

'A lovely newly refurbished house. I loved the premium quality cotton sheets and duvet cover. A super kingsize bed, which was very comfortable. The breakfast was freshly squeezed orange juice( rare) bread, mini viennoiserie and home made jams. The hosts were very friendly and spoke English. The village is very peaceful, and the countryside all around is lovely. A great place to stay'

'Hard to find, but problem with Hotels.com was corrected after we arrived. Also be prepared for no WiFi. Pascal and Marie Rose (or Rose Marie?) were outstanding, greeting us and giving us detailed descriptions of what to see as well as sharing our mutual traveling adventures. '

'This apartment was well situated to easily walk through Chablis. It was very clean and had good amenities. No breakfast is served; but we picked up berries, yogurt the night before, and walked to get baguette/pastries in the morning, as the French do! This was a very quiet place to stay, despite being on a main road in town. This is definitely a place to stay! '
