'We had a fantastic stay at Spring Garden Hotel in Cát Bà. The hotel was lovely, but what really made our stay special was the incredible level of care and personal attention from the staff. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful, but a special mention has to go to Emma, who was absolutely amazing throughout our stay. Nothing was ever too much trouble. She helped us organise trips, arrange taxis and transport, and gave us lots of useful local information and advice. One example really...

'Like others have posted. Check in is a complete nightmare. Rooms not ready, Wrong room, No front desk help as it is owned by private parties renting the rooms. No fridge, dining plates or silverware. They lied to Expedia and said they gave us the correct room. Also A/C is limited to how cool it will go and turns off in the middle of each night.'

'Very nice place, good area. Nice staff.'

'Roza Palace was a wonderful stay on Cat Ba Island. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, even scheduling pick ups for transportation and restaurant reservations. Location in Cat Ba is also great. Highly recommend a stay here.'

'The Hotel didn't update the information about the rooms and views we are stays only few days and changed the Hotel the facilities looks dirty and old'

'Great place to stay while in Viet Hai Village. Comfortable rooms with excellent a/c, good shower and comfortable beds. The food was amazing, no need to eat anywhere else. Fast laundry service. The gardens around the property were beautiful. The best part of our stay was the help we received from the manager, a young guy named Chilly. He took care of all transportation to and from the village, including transport back to Hanoi. He also booked an incredible Ha Long Bay day cruise for us and has...

'Nice modern hotel with rooftop pool. The rooms were a little under furnished however. It’s set out like an apartment but no cooking pots or utensils. No plates or cutlery. Only 2 cups and 2 teaspoons in a family room. The breakfast was quite limited compared to other places we stayed in the country e.g there was no juice and one fruit served. It was quite quiet so maybe that’s the reason.'

'Very great for solo travelers who want a quiet night'
