'I can get nit picky but I'm not going to. For the money this was a very quiet stay in a clean room with excellent owners who are super friendly. My only critiques are please have an outlet near the side of the bed to charge my phone and to offer stream service to log into rather than cable TV. The lights outside our room were so bright that my room never got dark and it made it difficult to sleep. I would stay here again when passing through Norfolk.'

'Stupendous and will go back again. The rooms are very spacious with a great view. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The restaurant next door was fantastic with large portions and fantastic food. We did not have time to walk around the town, but drove through and it is extremely charming.'

'The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful. We felt that the breakfast hours could be extended. The current hours are 6:30 to 9:30 AM. It would be better if breakfast was served until at least 10:30 or 11:00 AM. The area lacks walkable shops, bars, and restaurants'

'The stay was good. The tennis courts were good but you could tell they did not maintain them as well as they should. Also their housekeeping was horrible. When we first arrived we were missing multiple items. The front desk was extremely helpful to get those items to us. However housekeeping was to come every other day. In our 7 full days not counting check in and out days we only received housekeeping once. The prices of food was outrageous.'

'The room was clean. The only complaint I have is the parking lot on the back side is a little small and when the rooms are full its a little harder to find parking if you are on the back side (ocean views) of the building. If that is all I can complain about then I think the hotel is doing good.'

'Had the best stay at Decoy's!!!! Cottage #1 exceeded our expectations - THE VIEW!!! the adorable decor, the most comfortable bedding... I could not recommend this place more. The area is super safe and kid-friendly. The cottages do not have front desk staff available in person, but everyone we spoke to over the phone was incredibly helpful and accommodating. We made the most beautiful memories here in the cottages with our family - 5 stars all around. Thank you, Decoy's!'

'Table was dirty, I brought a pack of washcloths with me and used one to clean the table. It came out red, like if juice was spilled and never cleaned. I started cleaning the rest of the rooms surfaces and it wasn’t too bad. I dropped the rag on the floor and wiped a small area by stepping on it. When I raised my foot my white washcloth was black. The disgusting cigar smell was activating my hives and asthma. My son spotted a roach come out the wall and we immediately packed up and left. We left...

'Voordeel van dit hotel is dat het erg dichtbij pretpark Busch Gardens Williamsburg ligt. De kamer was ruim en de bedden lagen prima. Echter zat er wel een grote gele vlek in het beddengoed en een oude bloedvlek. Medewerkers waren ook niet allemaal even vriendelijk.'

'Overall the property was fine and staff was friendly. The breakfast options were doable if you are the traveling with a family and need some simple choices. If you are expecting more, you may do better going out. There were some places that could have been cleaned a bit more thoroughly but not to the point of disgust. Also, coffee and tea were available 24hrs and the sit down space was comfy. This is my second time staying since 2023.'

'Had a lady help me find my room which was nice. Our room was decent, no bugs or anything suspicious. Only problem was some dried pee stains on the floor of the toilet. For a last minute booking, this was good. Area felt safe too compared to others I’ve been too.'

'The hotel was in a great location for our trip. The staff was very friendly and always available. The room (especially the bathroom) could use some touching up and the floors were extremely creaky but overall, good choice.'
