'The rooms are renovated and clean, but the buildings are old, there was a smell of the old building. It is a nice place, but a bit remote.'

'The place needs an upgrade specially the bathroom, the shower and the rooms. There was not what I was expected from the Marriott court yard. I was expecting a little bit more cleaner more bigger rooms it has a certain smell of their rooms that it’s pretty hard to sleep at night or stay there and the beds were not that great at all paying this much of money is not worth it to stay there that’s my recommendation'

'Ideal location near the beach and near downtown. Great prices. Helpful staff. It was not a modern building full of features, but we were there to enjoy Encinitas, and this hotel was a great base for exploration. There is superb food down the road, so the hotel offered just coffee and light items like oatmeal.'

'Had to go to the office a few times cause the key wouldn't work. The window curtains had stains on it. Even tho it was a non smoking room it still smelled. The bathroom looked like a gym shower. The bed squeaked every time you move. One of the light fixtures didn't work. Best part of the room was the TV. It was a nice size for the room. Pretty much you get what you pay for. If you don't have much to spend, this place will suffice. Just have to suck it up.'

'The front desk staff were not at all helpful. I asked for extra pillows and blankets and I was told there are extra in the room. Didn’t help me other than that. When I went to the room I found there were extra pillows and no extra blanket. I happened to run into the maid and asked her to get it for me. If you’re looking forward to an easy arrival, get ready to wait in and In n Out line, just to enter the premises. Seriously?! You all know how long those lines are. Well, you’ll have to wait in...

'I love the location, all you have to do is walk across the street and you are at the beach. I selected the room with a beach view. It was nice sitting on the balcony and watching the sunsets. They do offer a breakfast, but the items are limited. The property is also within walking distance to the village with shops and restaurants. If you are there on a Wednesday you can also check out the farmers market. They also have secured parking at no charge which was a plus. The building is older but...
