There are lots of bicycle routes and walks available from your doorstep, and plenty to do in the local area, including a visit to Watchtree Nature Reserve (2.5 miles) for wildlife enthusiasts. Explore the history and culture of Carlisle; experience the Castle and Tullie House Museum and Art Gallery before indulging at one of the many eateries. Head north of the border on a train to Edinburgh and Glasgow from Carlisle station. The Solway Aviation Museum and the magnificent Talkin Tarn Country Park are two must-visit attractions within 20 miles.
