Portinscale ligt op wandelafstand (20 min) van Keswick (een zeer aangenaam stadje met shopping mogelijkheden ). Keswick is minder druk dan de andere Lake District dorpen/steden (Ambelside en Windermere/Bowness. Is ook ideaal gelegen om het Lake District te bezoeken (dagtrips). '

'The location is excellent, close to the city center. The parking opportunities are limited, fortunately unloading and loading is possible in the street of the location. The apartment is well equipped and sizable. However, the windows pf apartment 3 are facing an inner court with a venting system of a restaurant. It produces strong kitchen smells during most of the day. It should be discussed with the owner how to reduce the smells (with scrubs, perhaps).'

'Didn't actually manage to stay here and had to book alternative accommodation at short notice. Despite checking in online earlier that morning and advising of expected arrival time, I didn't receive the code for the lock box and all attempts at contacting the host failed, no response to phone calls or text messages, in fact the host declined my calls on numerous occasions. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED that this host left a solo female traveler stood outside in the rain and in the dark for over an hour...
