'Pros: The room was clean, cute, and looked just like the pictures. The hotel was reasonably affordable, and the location was great — conveniently walkable to restaurants, shops, and attractions. Cons: Unfortunately, the noise and complete lack of privacy really ruined our experience. DO NOT stay in Room 116! Our room was directly beside the hotel’s outdoor bar patio, to the point where we couldn’t even open our curtains without being face-to-face with bar patrons. It felt like the bar patio was...

'Another wonderful experience at Congress Hall. The staff was outstanding, our room was great with a view of the ocean. Can’t say enough good things about this place. There is nowhere else in Cape May we would rather stay. One recommendation, do the Hotel Tour. The information we learned about Congress Hall, both past and present, was fascinating.'

'Best location for jazz festival'

'Loved the ocean front view. Room was nicely updated, but the in wall air conditioner/heater was noisy - came on often throughout the night, disrupting our sleep - we were not able to shut it off with the remote control.'

'This was a great stay the staff was wonderful shuttle service was convenient and reliable. Our room was fantastic'

'Reeds is a wonderful place to stay but the bed seemed stiff and extremely noisy when getting in and out of the bed. The mattress did not fit on the frame so not lying on a flat supportive system but was fine while sleeping.'

'The resort is well maintained, our room was very clean, the heating system worked well which made our sleep on October's chilly night comfortable. The front desk person was very pleasant and helpful. The beach is spectacular. The swimming pool and Jacuzzi were open even at this time of the year but we didn't use it as we stayed for only one night. Outside sitting area with fire pits is a nice touch, especially if you travel with a larger group and want spend time with family or friends outside....

'Loved the location! Clean, easy parking.'

'The Inn is lovely and the staff is wonderful. The breakfasts were very filling with lots of great choices and the teatime and wine and cheese in the afternoon were lovely. The property could use some upgrading. The bathroom ceiling tiles were moldy and need to be replaced and outside of the guest room were trunks filled with cleaning supplies which should have been stowed way more discreetly. It’s an old house so the upkeep is considerable, but for the room rate, the place could use a little...

'We really enjoyed our stay in the Star Inn, Cape May. The rooms were lovely, nicely decorated, cosy but with a modern bathroom, the bed was very comfortable. We would recommend this hotel to anyone.'

'The hotel is in a great location with very friendly and professional staff. We cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. (Family travelling from Scotland)'

'This was truly a 5 star stay! We stayed for 2 nights in the off season—late October. The staff were very friendly and kind, even before we arrived! Great communication on what to expect, and they had pool towels and goodie bags for our kids ready and waiting for us! They had an immediate back up plan and solution for when I accidentally locked myself out of the room and were very kind and helpful! The room was very clean and the property was in great shape. The indoor pool was perfect,...
