  • Construite en 1906, cette maison historique était à l’origine la résidence du gardien de phare du phare de Piedras Blancas, porte de Big Sur. Vous serez touché par le charme et la grâce de cette magnifiquement restauré vue sur l'océan victorienne. Les planchers de bois, des antiquités authentiques, vue sur l'océan, et de nombreuses autres touches spéciales ajoutent à la romance de cette maison historique immaculée et spacieuse.

    En bas, la maison comprend deux chambres, un lit queen-size et deux lits jumeaux, une salle de bain complète avec baignoire et douche sur pattes, une salle familiale avec télévision à écran plat et lecteur DVD, une salle à manger et une cuisine équipée avec un grand îlot en blocs de boucher . À l’étage se trouve une grande suite parentale avec lit queen-size, télévision et magnétoscope, un coin salon, une salle de bain complète avec douche séparée et grande baignoire ainsi qu’un balcon avec vue panoramique sur l’océan. Courte promenade à Moonstone Beach, belle cour, TV, magnétoscope, vue sur l'océan, laveuse / sécheuse. TOT # 0000549

Perfect cousins weekend

We were delighted with the property and could have happily stayed at the house and just enjoyed the garden, the views and the cozy parlor. It was the perfect setting for hot cocoa after our trip to the Cambria Christmas market. We took advantage of the location and enjoyed several walks on the beach.

Birthday celebration

Everything was wonderful. We enjoyed walks along the broadwalk and hiking trails on the ranch. Enjoyed sunsets from the deck and in the kitchen around the island. Lots of great food in town. Weather was good, some fog, but it blew out later in the morning. Loved reading the history of the house and the moving of it.

Tranquility in Cambria

Location Location Location. Celebrated my 70th BD, 3 adults and grandson, 6 years old. Loved this well stocked and historical interesting home. Views of the Ocean and Garden a perfect mix for relaxation. Walked every morning along Moonstone Beach, less than 5 minutes from home. Loved the upstairs privacy and the hike up the stairs was really no problem, just go slow. One suggestion, swap out the queen bed upstairs to a King..

Reviewer Comments: This was our second stay at this unique Victorian home.It is a cozy and well-located home with lovely landscaping and an old world charm. The kitchen is well stocked for meal prep and is a pleasant place to sit and enjoy the ocean view.As has been mentioned by a couple of other reviewers, the stairs to the upstairs bedroom may not be appropriate for someone with balance/mobility issues...as they seem to be original to the home and are not easy to navigate.We have had an issue with ants in the kitchen/dining room (and upstairs bathroom) during both our visits...even though our food items were securely contained.Also, be aware it will take several hours for the home to warm up after the heat is initially turned on...after which time, the home will remain comfortable as long as the heat is not turned off again for any length of time.Upon checkout, we passed along these issues to Property Management.

Reviewer Comments: Great location, quiet, comfortable beds, plenty of storage, nice deck, big kitchen, close to town, BUT...there are improvements needed....downstairs bathroom sink does not have hot water, upstairs showered should be replaced instead of needing to operate it by reading a 3 step instruction list, TV operating instructions are incorrect and not clear, furniture in dining room is bulky and makes it hard for people to get around for access.I have been visiting this property for almost ten years and have noticed a significant decline in overall condition as if someone forgot to take care of such a special unique home. Needs some TLC for sure, maybe start by painting the exterior. Lastly, the customer service from rental agency is unfriendly and unavailable. Doesn't really match the friendly vibe from the town and merchants who welcome visitors. Hope my review helps!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We invited a few friends to join us at the cottage and they loved it just as much as we always have. We enjoyed eating in the kitchen around the large wooden island, in the dinning room at the beautiful table and on the patio enjoying the lovely garden backyard and cool breezes. It is lovely to just walk 1 block and be able to stroll along the coast boardwalk, looking out at the beautiful ocean and rock formations. So close to up town where we explored some fun shops and wonderful restaurants. We took a short hike on the Fiscalini Ranch Preserve and had fun showing our friends the quaint town of Harmony. We always enjoy the sunsets and even experienced a Full Super Blue Moon from the upper balcony.

We love the location with its easy walk to the beach, the deck, kitchen and living room, we spent hours sitting in the kitchen talking. The garden was lovely as well!The downstairs bath tub/shower wais tough for the seniors in our group and the stairs were steep for my 91 year old mother but overall, we love it.
