'We traveled to L.A. the first time and was looking for the usual Hilton/Marriott but, and landed on The Sun Rose first night was a pleasant change. Our flight was delayed into the late night and there wasn't a doorman to show us the way when our ride got to the checker-floored piazza, so it was a bit confusing as the check in lobby is tucked inside behind the amazing mirror-ball centerpiece. 'This was our third time at Pasea. Nice atmosphere. Great location in Huntington Beach. However they charged us wrongly. Customer services promised us that this would be resolved appropriately. After a number of calls and e-mails no one is responding and we never got the money back. So I don’t think we will stay at Pasea again unfortunately. '

'We did not have hot water for two days and staff at first acted confounded when later maintenance admitted the entire second floor was out. The pool area is loud because everything echoes off the U shape of the building. Lots of kids which made it worse and they never left the hot tub area for hours. The new rehab is just lipstick on an old Best Western. So overpriced and molding up already.'

'We arrived early and George was giving perfect service at valet parking. A pitty that at 4 pm the suite was still not ready for check in. Lady at reception was not so understanding/ service oriented. However, George was doing a great job with his bar tender at the rooftop bar. We had a great evening and perfect stay. The rooftop outlook is great. Room 351 is spacious, clean and comfortable for staying as a family of 4 with teenagers. '

'We primary eat at the Barefoot Bar and Grill. Food was pricey but quality was excellent. We even returned for breakfast. I wish there was a coffee shop on site. This place is excellent for bike riding. Staff was very friendly. '
