Vale dos Amores, a Home in Madeira

Vale dos Amores is a self-contained, air-conditioned accommodation in a rural setting near Calheta, for two to four guests. It has a balcony facing the sea and the surrounding fields, a covered barbecue and the Casa das Mudas arts centre right next door.

The accommodation is approximately 80 m² and consists of two bedrooms, each with a queen-size double bed (160 × 200 cm), a living room with a dining table, a kitchen and a bathroom. It has air conditioning with cooling and heating in the bedrooms and living room.

It also has a covered barbecue area and a balcony with views of the ocean and surrounding agricultural fields.

It is equipped with a refrigerator and freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, ceramic hob, oven, microwave and other utensils, as well as bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi, TV with international and children's channels, among other amenities to provide a pleasant and relaxed stay.



📍 NEIGHBOURHOOD

The accommodation is located in a rural area 200 m from sea level and 1.5 km from the village of Calheta, where there is a sandy beach and several restaurants and cafes.

The arts center and contemporary art museum Casa das Mudas is 200 m away and there are restaurants, cafes, a bakery and a hairdresser within a few minutes' walk.

Calheta is located in the southwestern part of the island, which has the best weather conditions in Madeira.

A few kilometres away there are stunning cliffs, mountains and Laurissilva forest for nature lovers and hikers.

Nearby you can enjoy many outdoor activities such as hiking, paragliding, mountain biking, surfing, fishing and other nautical activities.

The property has access to the main roads.

There is free parking on the property.

The property's entrance is shared with the owner's main house, but the accommodation is independent.

As this is a rural area, there may be noise from dogs and other domestic animals on neighbouring properties.

Weekly maintenance cleaning, including a change of bed linen and towels.

We strongly recommend that guests purchase travel insurance covering cancellations or other unforeseen circumstances that may prevent their stay.

If you have special needs or allergies, please contact us before booking so we can confirm whether we are able to accommodate them.

Due to the island's location and climate, the presence of insects and small lizards is natural, and they may be attracted by food scraps. We kindly ask that you keep surfaces clean and food properly stored.

For anyone who is not comfortable with the presence of insects and lizards, we do not recommend staying in a rural area.

For those sensitive to mosquito bites, we recommend using repellent when getting around the island.

An online pre-check-in form will be sent to collect the identification details required by law.

In-person check-in is by prior appointment. We will wait up to 60 minutes after the scheduled time; beyond that, it may be necessary to arrange a new time.

So that we can resolve any issue promptly, we ask that you report any faults or cleaning shortcomings immediately. Reports made after check-out may no longer be verified or resolved.
