Lovely Stay

We were looking for a spot to get away from our very busy work lives and to unwind for a few days, and this property was perfect. It was very quiet with a beautifully maintained yard and an excellent screened in porch. The house was very clean and we had everything we needed. We brought our own baby gate in order to keep our pup out of the loft, but if we'd been a larger group (mostly just two of us, but our adult son stayed one night as well) there would have been ample space for us to not fall all over each other. Verna was an attentive host and left us good instructions that were not at all stifling. All in all, we had a great stay.

Cozy woodland cottage

We enjoyed a long weekend stay at this nicely appointed, comfortable home as we explored the area. Large wooded lot with privacy in a very central location with easy access to Crosslake and other Brainerd Lakes locations. Well appointed kitchen and enjoyed relaxing on the screen porch. Would definitely recommend and would stay again. Verna was easy to communicate with and a great host.

We loved our stay at this wonderful property nestled in the woods near Daggett Lake! The great screen porch and back deck were favorite spots. Close to the Town Square, but very quiet location with lots of wildlife nearby.

The Most Charming Cottage in the Woods.

It was excellent. The cottage is very charming, the screen porch is wonderful, and the master bed was super comfy (that was the only one we used). It is very close to town as the crow flies. We saw groups from our area walking into town. It is doable, but not ideal. It is in a very peaceful area, and you can see a little of the lake by looking through the lots across the street. There is a nice firepit area in back, and the gardens in front are beautiful. I didn’t realize it, but there are two baths: one large, full one off the master and a half bath outside the second befroom. If you want a lovely place to stay without spending $500+ a night in Cross and you don’t have a big crowd, choose this location!
