'In short, our stay was great! The home overlooks lake isabella and the mountains behind it. Gorgeous 😍. 20 minutes up the road is Alta sierra, a ski slope. 2 hours from there is the trail of 100 giants. Great location. Wood interior of the house is beautiful. Cookware is limited, but still able to make a fabulous dinner. Recommend allergy medicine as the dirt generates dust and pollen from the trees. 'We needed a place for one night as hop to Death Valley. We could not have picked a nicer place. This motel is so well decorated and comfortable. It was not my taste but done so well that it didn't matter. It just embraces you like a warm cardigan. This was also because of the very friendly manager. It is a bit "out of town" but just across the street is a good place, Riverkern General Store" to have a meal, breakfast and where you can get almost everything.'

'I loved the old fashioned antiques. I loved the fireplace! It was an old property but I liked how they made it so cozy & warm. We were very comfy but the bed was super old & my back ached. Decorations & quiet & nice location made up for it! I’d stay here again but there was no breakfast & it’s more expensive than usual motels.'

'My husband and I loved staying at the beautiful Kernville Ranch. We loved the quiet and the scenic beauty. I loved that the cottage was pet friendly and our dog had the time of her life seeing the amazing horses at the ranch. The community is amazing for hiking and outdoor adventures. 'Minutes from shopping and restaurants in kernville and secluded enough to enjoy the silence. The cedar hot tub over looking the horse pasture was fun. The place was well stocked with everything we needed and the host was very responsive. With family living close by we will be staying again.'
