To the owners: you have a lovely home. The only negative was the water pressure, temp in the showers and the thermostat. The master bath water temperature was either too hot or cold. The shared shower was consistently warm, but not hot. Thermostat could not be adjusted. The location was convenient to a coffee house, donut shop, Bear Mountain and a zoo. Grocery stores and Village are nearby.
Now the negatives: cleanliness and property manager. I found rodent feces in a comforter in the master closet. The local manager threatened to call the police on our family bc we ran late checking out. This was the first time I rented on Vrbo or similar platform, so I forgot when we had to leave the house. When I received a call from the property manager at 11:11 am that the cleaners were coming I had my family quickly pack to leave. I received another call at 11:29am from the manager saying if I stayed any longer I would be charged. I asked her how much and she hung up to check. I then received a call from Red Awning the national manager at 11:35am. This call was to remind me to check out. While I’m packing up the car at 11:37am the cleaner handed me her phone with the local manager on the phone and she threatened to call the police for trespassing. I recognize I was leaving late, and I was ok with paying a penalty that could be paid to the cleaners or the next guest, but calling the police while we are leaving is unconscionable. It was also unsafe bc we drove quickly in the rain.
