'We stayed one night (on Halloween!) and had a great stay. The front desk staff were very nice and explained about the free parking available. We parked in the back which was just a short walk around the block. I felt like my vehicle would be safe, as it was an alleyway that was well-lighted and had video camera present. I appreciated the mini-fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and sun block-out curtains. Everything worked fine and the room itself was very clean. The only thing that I did notice...

'If you're looking for a unique stay in the Castro, the Hotel Castro is perfect! The rooms are cozy but very charming and perfect for 1-2 travelers. There's a grocery store right across the street, and excellent coffee shops and dining options within walking distance. If you're into nightlife, there are bars and clubs just around the corner.'

'it was quiet'

'Didn’t have WiFi'

'Safe and budget friendly place near the Castro. The walls are thin, can hear the other guests. The shower and bathroom are shared and not well maintained.'

'Another comfortable stay'

'An amazing boutique hotel right on Market Street and 15 minute walk to The Castro. Very highly recommended 2 star accommodation so keep in mind there is no air conditioning or fridge in the room. Still, very good value for money and l would stay there again.'

'We arrived in the hotel with a bit of a problem, as our luggage was lost on our way to San Francisco. The hotel manager, Steve, was incredibly helpful and kind to us. He even offered us his phone so we could call the airline. The hotel itself is OK. The room is quite small and the bathroom facilities are to be shared with other guests. Everything was clean and tidy however. We didn’t experience any noise or trouble. The only downside is the location of the hotel, as it’s right in the center of...
