'Definitely a quiet resort with not many people. There is day trippers that arrive around 10am and leave around 3pm. We enjoyed walking in the village outside of the resort. No cars just dirt roads with limited restaurants and maybe 2 small grocery stores. We ate outside of the resort most of the time at Carmen’s place and the food was so good. The resort food wasnt too impressive. '

'This is Jean Claude Bessudo’s best work and project to date. Aviatur built an oasis in nature WITHOUT disturbing it. Nature is the star of this resort - as it should be. The staff is super attentive and the facilities are well maintained. The food options are plentiful and delicious. The National Aviary of Colombia is close by and is not to be missed. I am of Colombian descent and will return. It’s just beautiful. '

'We had a fantastic time of 2 nights at SOY Local Islawa. Prior to our arrival, the hotel contacted us via app to see how we had arranged our trip to the location and we were given a number of options. Accommodation is only accessible by boat, which was offered free of charge. Our room was really fantastic. Cool by the Arco, clean, lovely bed and a very large nice shower. Kayak is free to use. 'We stayed here for 6 nights, and enjoyed our time here. Although the rooms are a bit dated and worn, we didn’t expect 5 star amenities and it met our needs for the price. The hotel is very well managed, and the staff is friendly and attentive. The food is excellent and the menu is varied enough so that there are always a few things that that you might choose to eat.
