'I have a very difficult child and unable to stay in a hotel. Needed to be in Colorado for an appointment, so needed a place to stay. This place was very accommodating and the hosts were very understanding. I just wish my son wouldn't have bothered the other people staying on the property. '

'When we arrived the house was FREEZING. We had 30 minutes to get ready in the COLD and head to our Basketball game. First night we slept in the bed that was not very comfortable we heard a lot of noise and my wife said the house is haunted she basically did not sleep. Ton's of bugs I had to kill, clothes left in the dresser and closet from previous guests, outside front door someone spit not once or twice but like six times it was totally disgusting. I could not get hot water from the sink...

'The house was older but really clean! Kitchen well appointed. We had deer visit us daily. Could use more cozy sitting in the living room area only enough for 4. Internet too slow for work and sometimes too slow for the streaming TV. The only TV is in the living room which encourages family time. Washer and dryer was a plus! 'Rivers Edge Retreat has been one of the best places we have stayed during our travels. Better than advertised and owner spares no expense with the HIGH quality of everything inside and out. Distance to town was perfect drive, got to see elk herd on way home from dinner about 5:45-6pm on 335 road to house. We dont see them in Texas so it was very neat. River flowing just outside the deck was refreshing and soothing for the soul. Ann the host had great communication and info in house helped...
