'Compact and comfortable. Well fitted out and storage for our bikes. Michel and Paulette are great hosts, made us very welcome and provided help with local maps and attractions. This GÎTE in their garden is very quiet and peaceful, only 5 min walk to the coast and about 20 mins into town. For us, the attraction was the convenience of the Vendee cycle ways which are minutes away and are great ways to explore north and south of St Gilles on flat firm surfaces. 'Nadine is a wonderful host of this charming house. Very nice and helpfull. We felt very welcome. The house is well equipes and decorated and perfect for two. Large garden with lovely chickens and a cat. Bouin is a small place near the coastal line of France. Perfect for a biking and walking allang the salt fields.'

"I'd already been there twice before and was completely satisfied. But this time I was very disappointed. It started with the fact that my credit card had already been charged the morning before my arrival. Then, unlike my previous visit, I was given a very, very small room, even though I had requested the same room. Finally, the quality of the food in the restaurant had also been downgraded. The most positive thing was the very friendly lady at the reception who even went out of her way to place me in a slightly better room."
