Arrived at home at appointed check in time. House was very clean and very cold. Temperature in home at thermostat read 37 degrees. We had to sit in house with winter coats and blankets for a good amount of time for home to heat up.Write up on home was accurate. Drive to home was not, you really needed a four wheel drive to safely navigate roads. Therefore you were unable to go out for any evening activities because it wasn't safe driving the roads in pitch black to return.I sent a email to host asking a question Did not receive response until next day, our check out day after we had already left. I was very glad there wasn't a emergency situation.
Would not recommend this property. The neighborhood you have to drive through to get there is shady at best bordering on scary and dangerous. There was a strange loud truck that parked at the entrance of the property then sped away as I existed the property early Sunday morning.I just ended up staying at the Best Western in Bandera. This is not a spot for a VRBO. It reminds me of that Hilton commercial about having a "scary stay"
