'This is OK place based on American expectations. It was pretty much clean, but dated. Food at the restaurant was again OK, but probably the best place closest to the Knock airport, where we were flying back in the morning.'

'This little cabin near the beach was a wonderful little stay for us. Everything was clean and any stay's needs were provided. The setting is so unique and wild and a nice time in solitude. You can see Down Patrick's head right out the window. A walk down to the shore is just a couple of minutes and you are able to walk on the rocks and sand to see tide pools and the environment's changes as the tide comes in and out.'

'The Beach House (annex) is a well equipped house, with a wonderful view. A short walk takes you to the beach. Other walks in the area are near Strandhill and at the Glencar Waterfall. We drove through the Ox Mountains and had a beautiful walk at Aughris Head. We loved to watch the cows and sheep in the morning outside the house. 'We had the most wonderful stay in Katie's Cottage. We met the lovely host Caroline on arrival and we couldn't have gotten a warmer welcome. There was fresh scones with jam and butter and a bottle of wine in the fridge. The house was absolutely immaculate with loads of fresh towels and bed linen.
