Set across two spacious levels, this beautifully renovated Lake Gardens home has been thoughtfully set up for families and groups who want room to genuinely enjoy their time together. Fresh interiors, quality new furnishings and an abundance of natural light give the home a polished yet comfortable feel, while several separate living spaces mean a full house never feels crowded.

The main living areas offer plenty of choice depending on how you want to spend your stay. There is a dedicated TV room for relaxed evenings and movie nights, a second living area for gathering together, and a separate library style space stocked with books, games and history. It is a particularly useful layout when travelling with children or multiple families, allowing everyone to enjoy their own space without being separated from the rest of the group.

The fully equipped kitchen provides a generous central space for preparing meals at home, with a gas cooktop, ample bench space and everything needed for everyday cooking. Whether you are putting together breakfast before a day exploring Ballarat or settling in for dinner with the whole group, the kitchen is designed to comfortably cater for a larger household.

There are four bedrooms, with the sleeping arrangements offering excellent flexibility for both adults and children. The master suite features a king bed, tv and walk in robe, while the second bedroom also has a king bed and its own robe. A third bedroom is furnished with a queen bed and robe. The fourth bedroom is designed particularly well for younger guests or a family group, with a bunk bed, an additional single bed and a separate single mattress available when required. In total, the home can accommodate up to 10 guests.

Two bathrooms and two separate toilets make mornings and evenings considerably easier when the house is full. Combined with the generous bedroom configuration and multiple living zones, the layout works especially well for extended families or two families travelling together.

Ballarat’s cooler weather is well catered for with hydronic heating throughout the home, creating a lovely warmth during the colder months. Heat pumps and air conditioning provide additional year round climate control, so the house remains comfortable whatever the weather outside.

For longer stays, a washing machine is available for guest use, while the home’s practical layout and generous storage make it easy to settle in rather than live out of a suitcase.

Step through the rear gate and the location becomes even more appealing, with direct access to nearby walking tracks, sporting grounds and recreational facilities. It’s a fantastic feature for families, walkers or anyone who likes to get outside, allowing you to head straight from the property into the surrounding open spaces without needing to get in the car. Parking is straightforward, with a double garage as well as a double driveway providing excellent off street space for guests travelling with multiple vehicles. The garage remote is supplied with the property keys for convenient access throughout your stay.

Lake Gardens is a peaceful, established pocket of Ballarat that gives you the best of both worlds: a quiet residential setting to come home to, while still being within easy reach of the city and the wider region.

Everyday essentials are close by, with supermarkets and shopping only a few minutes from the property. From here, it is easy to explore central Ballarat, Lake Wendouree, the Ballarat Botanical Gardens and many of the city’s cafés, restaurants, historic streets and attractions.

Ballarat is also an excellent base for exploring Victoria’s Central Highlands and Goldfields. Spend a day discovering the history of Ballarat and nearby Creswick, head north towards Clunes, Talbot and Maryborough, or venture east towards Daylesford, Hepburn Springs and the Macedon Ranges. Wine lovers can explore surrounding cool climate wine regions, while families have plenty of parks, walking areas and attractions closer to home.

Whether your visit is centred around Ballarat itself or you are using the home as a comfortable base for exploring regional Victoria, Lake Gardens puts plenty within reach while giving you a quiet place to return to at the end of the day.

Travelling by car is the easiest way to explore Ballarat and the surrounding region from Lake Gardens. The property provides excellent off street parking with a double garage and double driveway, making it particularly convenient for groups arriving in multiple vehicles.
A supermarket is approximately three minutes away by car, while central Ballarat and many of the city’s attractions can be reached within approximately 15 minutes.

The property can accommodate up to 10 guests, however we want to be completely clear about the sleeping configuration when booking. There are beds for 9 guests across the four bedrooms. For the 10th guest, a separate single mattress is provided, which can be pulled out and placed on the floor in the bunk room or another bedroom of your choice. This mattress is not a permanent bed and will need to be positioned on the floor when required.

This is a spacious townhouse style property in a peaceful residential neighbourhood. It is ideal for families and groups, but is not suitable for parties or events. We ask all guests to respect our neighbours and observe quiet hours between 9:00 pm and 7:00 am on weekdays.
