I had an extremely serious and unacceptable experience at Hyatt Place Atlanta Alpharetta North Point Mall. I booked a five night stay but after only two nights I developed burning eyes and severe coughing and had to see a physician while traveling. I was told my symptoms were consistent with chemical exposure and or mold and was advised to leave the hotel immediately.
I informed the front desk and was told the general manager would contact me the next day. No one ever did. This was especially disappointing given the severity of the situation. I paid for all five nights, received no refund, and was forced to pay a premium to move to another hotel on short notice. I am still experiencing breathing issues and have since learned there are other complaints about this hotel.
I strongly recommend choosing another hotel, especially if traveling with children or anyone with asthma or similar respiratory conditions. I am giving the general manager 48 hours to contact me with reasonable compensation. If not, I will report this issue to the appropriate authorities and consider legal action.
