Over deze accommodatie

Gîte des Châtelaines - ANZY LE DUC

  • Elegant authentic bourgeois residence of character steeped in history dating from 1818, completely renovated into a comfortable holiday home - with a beautiful heated swimming pool (6x2.5m) - backed by a charming little independent chalet on an intimate, very well-kept property of 6000m² located 3.5 km from the picturesque village of Anzy-le-Duc (famous for its sumptuous listed Romanesque church from the 11th century) & 7 km from the charming medieval & commercial town of Marcigny, a "Cluniac site" particularly known for its Monday morning market created in 1266 (very many amenities on site including supermarkets). Pleasant landscaped setting nestled in the heart of the unspoiled Brionnais countryside, in the heart of the bucolic local hilly bocage, on the edge of a mini rural hamlet, in the hollow of the verdant Arconce valley, very close to the banks of the Loire (the last wild river in Europe protected in a "Natura 2000 Zone" for its very rich ecosystems) bordered by the "tranquil canal" linking Roanne to Digoin. Ideally located on the routes of the Romanesque churches circuit & a marked "green walk" hiking trail (vast network of similar hiking trails to explore in the area, on foot or by mountain bike), 1.5 km from the "Véloire" Green Way along the banks of the Loire (connected to EuroVélo6 as well as to the "Tour de Bourgogne à vélo"), 1.5 km from a marked mountain bike route labeled "VTT-FFC" (attached to a vast network of similar routes crisscrossing the area), 1.5 km from the "Cycloroute71" (tour of the Saône-et-Loire), around thirty km from the first vineyards of the Côtes Roannaises, around fifty km from the Beaujolais vineyards (first vineyard in the world recognized as a "UNESCO Global Geopark") & around sixty km from the Côtes Maconnaises ("Burgundy Wine Route" & Beaujolais Wine Route to explore). In the heart of the sublime Charolais-Brionnais region (labeled "Pays d'Art et d'Histoire"), an ultra-renowned breeding land, cradle of the world-renowned AOC cattle breed, rich in sumptuous landscapes and an exceptional historical heritage, at the crossroads of Sologne & Montagne Bourbonnaise and the Roannais region, not far from Mâconnais-Clunisois and Beaujolais. Privileged location to reach several departments (at the crossroads of Allier, Loire & Rhône): 11 km from the medieval village of Semur-en-Brionnais, which has the very rare label "Most Beautiful Villages of France", 16 km from Saint-Christophe-en-Brionnais & its iconic weekly "Livestock Market" dating from the end of the 15th century, 19 km from Digoin (river marina linked to the famous Canal du Centre), 21 km from Paray-le-Monial, 26 km from Charolles, 27 km from the characterful town of Charlieu (exceptional Romanesque Benedictine abbey), 30 km from La Clayette, 37 km from Roanne & 47 km from the very famous PAL amusement park. A charming "pied à terre" to get together with family and friends, with relaxation and lounging by the pool as a bonus! An elegant, authentic bourgeois residence steeped in history, dating back to 1818 and fully restored, flanked by a charming contemporary chalet, nestled in the rolling Brionnais countryside, on the edge of a bucolic plateau of pastures (home to the famous Charolais cows as close neighbors during the seasons), at the edge of a tiny rural hamlet tucked away "on the road" between Digoin and Marcigny. Wildlife can be observed on the property (deer, hares, foxes, storks, birds of prey, etc.). A magnificent landscaped setting combining agriculture and unspoiled nature, not far from the heart of the charming village, famous for its iconic 11th-century Romanesque church, a listed historical monument. The spacious gîte offers excellent comfort. Its warm country character, with contemporary touches of "country chic," is enhanced by the original building's character (stone staircase, walls and fireplace mantel, beams and rafters). A cozy and inviting atmosphere. Full of charm and character. A lovely 6000m² garden, meticulously landscaped with flowers, greenery, and trees (bamboo grove, cherry, fig, plum, apple, and apricot trees… / fruit picking possible), an intimate green haven nestled away from prying eyes, featuring a beautiful heated swimming pool with shower (6x2.5m) and a spacious sheltered terrace offering a soothing, unobstructed view of the meadows. Composition: Detached house + small independent chalet (accessible via a 50m gravel driveway). Wi-Fi (fiber optic). Oil-fired central heating. Wood pellet stove + fireplace. Raised ground floor (3 steps): living room/kitchen/lounge, separate WC.
