'This cottage is located in a beautiful area with lots of hiking/ walking possibilities. kids could play nearby the river Esk or surrouding streams and forrest. 'The property is spacious, beautifully decorated and in a peaceful, rural setting. Beds were super comfy and the owners were on hand, not that we needed them, the place has everything you need and more. Its situated a short drive from plenty of pubs restaurants and lovely forest walks. The listing said there was a pub within a mile, I must have missed it but its only a couple of miles from Dalbeattie. Would definitely stay again.'

'I wouid recommend this property but would make sure other guests jnow there is nothing within walking distance and a car is needed to get ro the nearest pub/supermarket. The property was lovely but the blinds needed dusting, there were dirty towels in the washing machine and the laminate on the tables was taped up.'

'The cottage was cosy and had everything we needed. A minor niggle, but it was a bit cluttered with cushions and throws in the sitting room - the throws just slid off the leather sofas and the cushions were too big and too many, so were surplus to requirements. The location suited us very well, with a host of lovely walks and places to visit nearby. We had a wonderful break and can recommend!'
