Accommodations: House, 1 Bedroom + 1 Bath (Sleeps 2) .
Thank you for your interest in staying with us! As you may know, we have a small population with extremely limited medical services. We have been very fortunate to only have had very few cases. Any increase in the cases could easily overwhelm our capacity to treat patients.
Please help keep COVID-19 from spreading by:
1. Wearing a mask whenever indoors with other people, and whenever encountering other people outdoors
2. Frequently washing or sanitizing your hands especially when entering and exiting a building, shop, gallery, grocery store or any indoor space
3. Practice social distancing, keeping 6 ft between you and others
4. Staying home if you feel ill and have symptoms associated with COVID-19 such as cough, fever, or trouble breathing.

This very private, romantic, ocean view and cliffside Mendocino cottage is a spacious split-level set as close to the ocean as possible so as to take full advantage of the dramatic setting. The soothing sounds of the ocean waves rolling in and crashing against the rocks below will make you feel like you are on your own private island.
This gem of a house has romantic, private, and truly million dollar expansive views of the ocean from every room. The view through the French doors is truly breathtaking. A wrought iron spiral staircase ascends to the upstairs oversized King bed. The fireplace also has an amazing view of the ocean. The night time sky reveals a starry sky unpolluted by city lights. The kitchen is fully functional with pots and pans, gas stove & oven, microwave, dishwasher and refrigerator. We also have an assortment of spices, but please feel free to bring whatever you need. We also have a washing machine and dryer for use.
This home is close driving distance to the village of Mendocino, Fort Bragg, Point Arena as well as the renowned Anderson Valley wine country.
Because of the proximity of the ocean bluffs, children and pets are NOT permitted.

Here are a few important notes to keep in mind:
✻ The owner will send out address and access information about a week prior to checkin date of confirmed guests.
✻ The fireplace is a gas stove controlled by a remote control thermostat . No need to open its door!
✻ We have a gas BBQ on the back deck. If you use it, please be courteous to fill up the propane tank for the next guests. Thank you.
✻ The step down into the shower stall is a little deep and getting in and out of the shower, you need to go slow and have to be careful.
✻ There is only one bathroom in the house and that is on the downstairs main floor, NOT on the upstairs bedroom level. There is a spiral staircase that connects the second floor to the main downstairs level which has the kitchen and bathroom.
✻ All things in the house are intended to be used at the house. That includes towels, board games, DVDs, plates, cutlery… anything that is removable cannot be removed for personal use outside of the home.
✻ Please do not light any candles in the house. Candles are a major fire hazard and a huge liability.
✻ When you leave the house during your stay or at the end, please make sure all the doors and windows are securely locked. Thank you!
✻ Please remember to keep the french doors shut while you are enjoying the deck. We have a LOT of little critters always trying to come inside the house where its warm and safe and it creates a lot of problems.

This, one of a kind house is an ideal getaway for a honeymoon, anniversary, or that much needed and deserved time off. You will understand why guests call this home 'Desire' and why they all tell us they will be back next year!
