'We’ve had an excellent stay, very walkable to Old Town San Diego, good restaurants in the direct area. The pool is a bit small though, San Diego zoo and the SS Midway are very close. The staff is very friendly and very nice and helpful, they give you great tips of the area. We stayed in a room facing away from the freeway, and slept with the windows open, no disturbing noises.'

'The staff was kind and helpful for the entirety of my stay. My room was clean. The bathroom did have long strands of hair on the floor and in the shower. The hotel is near other hotels and has a shared parking lot with plenty of spaces.'

'I was quite surprised at this property. The Fairfield Marriott was attractive and comfortable. The breakfast is very good and the price was right! The only drawback was to have to self park in a very tight tight underground garage which costs $30 a night. However, there is usually close by street parking at no cost.'

'The public areas, gym and pool were nice and updated but the room felt a little worn and had a weird, musty smell. The bathroom was particularly dated. I was annoyed that the “self parking” advertised was actually paid parking despite no valet, no security. The only good thing about the breakfast was the fresh waffle option. Terrible coffee. For the price of the stay, I definitely expected a bit better. '

But parking 21 dollar fee will make me likely not stay here again esp when they ask me for my ID just to get a new pass when we extended our stay...did you have private equity bean counters squeeze every last penny out? Upset there are no free chargers anymore. Staff is very nice. Cleaning staff and maintenance guys are awesome. Lady at the bar at night server always...

'Great resort for kids. We visited during spring break. They had events for kids, nice slide and pool, dining areas and place to run around. '

'We had a room facing the freeway. The room has very thin windows so it was very noisy. Also the air conditioner was so loud that we needed to turn it off to be able to sleep. Breakfast was ok but not much variety. The rooms were clean though. Parking is paying (24 dollars a night) but you can park in the street in front of the hotel for free. '
