« Cet hôtel a besoin d’entretient et de rénovations. C’est assez propre mais très vieillot. Ce n’est pas insonorisé. Les gens passent dans le corridor et c’est comme d’ils étaient dans la chambre. L’ameublement est défraîchi. Le petit déjeuner était bon. »

« A lovely little stay at a nice property. Breakfast was very much appreciated. There is no washer/dryer facilities for laundry at this property, only washing drying of scuba suits. »

« Très bel endroit, calme et paisible. L’hôtel atypique est très bien situé dans la ville. L’intérieur est très bien décoré. La vue sur la mer et le port est magnifique. On peut également apercevoir le château de Bamburgh. Le petit déjeuner excellent. »

« Perfect location, right on the prom overlooking the sea and estuary. Rooms are spacious and well furnished and decorated. Great cafe which is attached to the cafe, which residents can access directly. Had a great breakfast butty there. Host Allison was extremely welcoming and helpful. Plenty private parking. Just be careful when you fling back the curtains if you have a sea view... you are literally overlooking lots of dog walkers, children going to the beach etc! Make sure you are decent 😆....

« Super accueil chaleureux et très humain. Chambre propre et sans aucune faute. La peinture dans la salle de bain est à revoir pour que ça fasse plus neuf. Nous avons passé une très belle nuit. »

« We stayed in The Chapel - it was breathtaking! Incredibly high standard of finishes, decor and furnishings. Modern and luxurious within the historic frame of the building and it's facinating history. Staff were super friendly, helpful and accommodating. We'd have no hesitation staying again and highly recommend The Cookie Jar if you're looking for a memorable overnight accommodation experience anywhere near Alnwick. »

« Although the rooms were a little tired the helpfulness of the staff way made up for this. They went above and beyond to be so accommodating. I would definitely stay here again »

« Perfect location between Barter Book and the Playhouse with bus stop right outside. Clean, quiet, comfortable. Nice patio outside to enjoy summer evenings. Not fancy, but if your tastes are simple and you want an affordable base from which to explore the area, this is the place for you. »

« Lovely stay , very comfortable hotel. Excellent Customer service. The staff went out of their way to be helpful and very obliging. We ate in the restaurant both evenings and couldn’t fault our meals at all. Very good quality food. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. »

« The room was clean and comfortable. Free Parking was close by and good access to town centre and restaurants. »

« 2 minutes from Alnwick Playhouse with cinema, cafe and tourist centre information. 5 minutes from Alnwick Gardens & Castle and Barter Books. Plenty of places to eat and shop. Across the road from bus stop coastal route to Berwick on Tweed & Newcastle via coastal towns and villages. 20 mins bus ride away from Alnmouth station with trains to Berwick and Edinburgh. I had a wonderful week there. »

« Dinner was delicious and high quality. Attentive and friendly staff. Quality real ale in the bar. Mix of locals and visitors. Spacious accommodations. Character and lovely atmosphere. Very dog friendly and interesting short walk nearby highlighting prehistoric and dark ages history. »

"The staff were very friendly, and the location is dreamy – Seahouses is a charming seaside town with a lively main street, easy access to pubs, and the inn’s restaurant has a genuinely lovely view of the sea. Unfortunately, the room experience was very disappointing. Our room (39) was cramped, with stuffy air and no real comfort. Instead of the second double/sofa bed described, we were given a bunk bed – not at all what we expected, and a very unpleasant surprise. To make things worse, the room was at street level, looking out directly onto an unattractive parking lot and intersection, rather than the sea view we had hoped for. For the price and reputation, I expected much more. While the staff and location deserve praise, the accommodation itself fell far below expectations."
