'What a warm and welcoming place to stay. Beds and pillows were super comfortable, very clean room. Common areas were cozy and clean. You will never find a better breakfast than the 3 course meal we had. Local yogurt, homemade lemon curd, with homemade granola and berries. Then wonderfully cooked frittata with Crème fraîche, local sourdough toast, and a bed of nice greens and radishes. Then the most amazing citrus olive oil cake. There is coffee, tea and homemade cookies always available....

'Very disappointing. This hotel was rated very good an 8.4 but it was far from it. It is very dated and it was dirty and smelled musty. The lamp shades were stained and the lamps were rusty and old. There was mould and dirt all around the window and baseboards. I do NOT recommend this hotel.'

'Het hotel ligt in een prachtig en verlaten gebied. Dichtsbijzijnde restaurant is met de auto 15 min. Gastvrijheid en de verzorging zijn fantastisch. Kamer en badkamer waren op de 1e etage en zeer schoon. Ivm voorbereidingen voor een bruiloft was de bar dicht. Het ontbijt was super. Janny'

'This Viking Village is fantastic. There is so much eye for details, you really enter a different world. We had a great time there and the staff were so friendly and helpful. The house has everything you need, and is very comfortable. The guide inside the house with tips and suggestions for visiting and eating/drinking in the area is very comprehensive and helpful. Do not mis this place when you are in the area. '

'Only issue is there was nowhere to hang anything and the room was very small. Room was clean, comfortable and bathroom was well-appointed. Breakfast was good and staff friendly and helpful. Close to restaurants and super easy access to Mt. Snow. Would definitely stay here again. '

'I arrived after dark and the hotel and the village were like a magical New England winter scene with sparkling lights everywhere. The proximity of the hotel to a typical New England church and numerous white painted wooden framed structures was a scene from our historical heritage. The hotel was reopened less than a year ago after extensive renovations. The outcome is a GEM. Decorations deserve an A+.'
