'Cottage was perfectly located and well equipped albeit small for the price. Bathroom great, cosy lounge and well equipped kitchen. Couple of areas needed redecorating. But communication was non existent. Contacted host twice without reply on day of arrival to get the passcode for the keys. Also phone number was for Sykes cottages which was closed. Ended up knocking on doors nearby and finally got to the right person.'

'We enjoyed a good overnight stay at East Ayton Lodge Hotel, which was comfortable and well-situated. We were happy with our room and with dinner and breakfast. The room was fine for our dog and the garden provided an opportunity for a short walk ...'

When we arrived about 15:30 and enquired about the restaurant we were told they close at 1600 but there were pubs nearby that would serve food. This was a Sunday so we spent the next hour trying to find somewhere that would serve food in the evening. We found somewhere. The issue is that the location misrepresented itself on Hotels.com. Had we known it was a bed and breakfast only location we would not have booked...

'Comfortable and friendly, liked the spa pool and health suite . Not sure why the Christmas tree with lights was put up on weekend of 10 /11 October !'

'First time I’ve stayed at The Weston and hopefully it won’t be the last. A really charming hotel, beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. The staff are very friendly and the take time to chat which was really nice. My room was very clean and comfortable and breakfast was top quality, tasty and very well presented. The bar prices were reasonable and there’s a cosy area to sit and chat with books and some games. Very convenient location for the spa and an easy walk into the town. Onstreet...
