Short VersionThis was my third large house rental in the Poconos and the second that had an indoor pool. I am therefore aware that these large homes come with heavy usage by large groups and that one should not expect a pristine environment. I do expect however that the amenities advertised should be in working order or if not someone will respond and at least attempt to rectify the situation. This was not the case. In fact after multiple attempts to message the host about the issues with the house I was informed that because it was a holiday week there was no one available to respond to my complaints. So I had the privilege of paying double the standard rate to occupy a house that had no property manager to respond to any complaint. Absolutely unbelievable!Full disclosure - I was given a refund of 1900 and offered a late check out. If interested you can read the long version below to decide if this was adequate compensation.Long versionPrior to agreeing to rent the property I saw the note that “pool heating is currently unavailable for guest use”. I contacted the host about this and was informed that the attached pool house and pool would be heated to 76-78 degrees but if I wanted control over the pool temperature beyond that it would involve an additional fee.
