'Lovely quaint walk through several levels of walkways and beautuful traditional cottages. Tucked away surrounded by cottage gardens. Like stepping back in time. Beautiful weather surprisingly. Lovely friendly people. Shops and places to eat and drink , within 5 mins through the street's. Very steep hill and steps add to rhe charm of the winding roads down to the bay front. Photographers heaven. 4th time here over the years with small changes to eateries. '

'A beautifully well-equipped, comfortable and clean apartment. The name tells you all you need to know about the location - strolling distance to Whitby and within easy reach of the surrounding attractions. We had a lovely email from the owners before we arrived with all the information, so felt even more excited and assured about our stay. There's some fantastic attention to detail within the apartment which helped us feel at home very quickly. The Christmas decorations were a nice surprise...

'We have stayed at Hope Cottage many times. The location is excellent, close to all amenities and 5 minutes from the beach.Since our last stay a rail has been installed on the steps down to the bottom door which is an excellent addition'
