B&B in Whitby

'The room was lovely and very comfortable. I had some difficulty with the stairs both in the accommodation and in the outer building because of my mobility, so I would warn others of the steepness of the stairs. Everything was very clean and well presented, plenty of continental breakfast choices, tea and coffee etc. This would only have been improved by a more practical washing up facility than the bathroom sink. Having said that though, the bathroom was spotlessly clean.'

'Room was totally fine. Bed was comfy. Given tea and coffee. I brought my own little lamp as the only light is the main one. Toilets and shower are external and pretty run of the mill. Nice selection of beers and ales in the pub. Breakfast was nice'

'While we liked the theme of the pub, and the staff were friendly, the stay was let down by a poor nights sleep due to very thin walls and chatter in the pub past 11pm (despite the pub closing at 10). I did complain, and the noise did stop after some time, but it took a significant amount of time to get to sleep even after that. The pillows were also not to our preference, being extremely soft, but we didn’t raise this with staff (as we only stayed one night) so we don’t know if there were any...

'The owners are a lovely couple and made us so welcome. I would recommend them to everyone. There is a downstairs bedroom if you cannot manage stairs. Breakfast was the best i have ever had in a B&B. Plenty of parking available on site. On a quiet road so easy to pull out. I cannot fault it.'

'heel fijne overnachting, supermooie kamer, en heel vriendelijk onthaal, ontbijt lekker. kortom dit is een aanrader'

'In het centrum, maar ver genoeg weg om geen last van de mensenmassa te hebben. '

'Room was clean and presentable room smelled nice an fresh when we came back after our day out staff were friendly Valerie was a good host lovely breakfasts each day and great parking at the back well secured loved it'

'brilliant place. staff were lovely, very friendly. i needed vegan options for breakfast and they were more than happy to accommodate. great location and easy parking behind the pub. would definitely stay again'

'The lady on reception last night was lovely. Showed us round the facilities and to my room. Bedroom was clean and tidy. Was going for an operation so want able to do breakfast but I’d definitely book again and bring my girls. The hotel was a lovely old manor style house with all its features.'

'Conveniently located by the harbour and castle. Room 2 (twin room) was basic but clean and comfortable with everything in working order. As our stay was during the summer heatwave, it’s difficult to comment on whether it’d be warm in cooler months. Somewhat noisy at night and early morning due to the room facing the main harbour road.'

'Me and my partner Ross stayed at The Cornmill last saturday and we both had a pleasent experience, Karen is very welcoming & accomodating and all round a lovely person. The room we stayed in was immaculate aswell and to top it all off, breakfast was absolutely superb! It's a 10/10 from both of us, we would highly recommend and we do plan on coming back in the future. Thank you so much'

'The room was clean and bright, the pull out sofa bed was a bit short for an adult and we weee above the kitchen which was noisy at closing but done by 10pm. Great staff, pretty location.'

'Was a nice clean place staff were friendly and not too far from beach and town center'

'Fabulous staff, beautiful food, fantastic room. Top notch in every way! Can't wait to return ❤️'

'Nice breakfast choices and a cafteire of coffee'

'Clean & comfortable space. Helpful proprietor. Excellent breakfast! Location was great for our travel (1 mile from local train station.)'

'We booked this location as it billed itself as a hotel with restaurant and bar. When we arrived about 15:30 and enquired about the restaurant we were told they close at 1600 but there were pubs nearby that would serve food. This was a Sunday so we spent the next hour trying to find somewhere that would serve food in the evening. We found somewhere. The issue is that the location misrepresented itself on Hotels.com. Had we known it was a bed and breakfast only location we would not have booked...

'Heerlijk verblijf gehad. Enige minpuntje is dat we een panorama room geboekt hadden en ons uitzicht bestond uit alleen maar dakpannen. Verder zeker een aanrader!'

'Everything was spot on for the price. Really good b&b would stay again.'
