« This was our second stay here. We came back as it is the place to go if you go to San Juan Del Sur and want to relax and be away from the busy life of town AND there is a beach nearby. Has a Mama Mia vibe to it. Perhaps we were off season, but the food was not as good as our first visit. I kept being promised they would have the peanut butter chocolate bars “tomorrow”, but these delicious bars I enjoyed last time never materialized. I think next time we will try a different place. »

« Cons: Need improvement and TLC by owner as well investment in amenities supplies availability, cleaning and maintenance as some areas has pest control in need. 1. « Laguna de Apoyo is truly a paradise location. Birds and sometimes monkeys and iguanas coming close.The next door hotel is not functioning, so the place is quite calm.Swimming in the Laguna is a incredible treat!Unfortunately 'La Giralda' really needs investment and renovation.The air conditioning is so noisy that it is impossible to use. « The manager Emilio was an amzing guy very friendly and wanting to help. The location is wonderful!The house is great, but it needs an update, the bathroom is bad. The house is back to basic, which is fine. But we hoped for a hammock or some lounging chairs outside and we thought the house was frontline, but it was the second house. »
