Manuel and Maria are waiting to greet you on arrival, and the property exceeds the listing photos — especially at night when the lighting makes it truly magical. Crashing waves provide the perfect backdrop all day and night, and the beach was nearly deserted on weekdays.Maria and Manuel are attentive without ever being intrusive, and they invited us to witness the release of baby sea turtles they'd hatched on the property — an unforgettable experience. Maria also cooked our group a fresh snapper dinner on the deck that was incredible.Kids aged 8–16 loved having both beach and pool access, and you can see both from anywhere on the property which made supervising easy.A few helpful notes for future guests: We flew into Liberia, Costa Rica and crossed into Nicaragua without any issues, but the border building on the Nicaraguan side has no AC and lines can be long — we'd fly directly to Managua next time. Worth noting that we went about 80 USD over on the electricity allowance despite only using AC and lights at night, so just be mindful. Around the point just south of the villa is a great spot to rent boards and book surf lessons or other adventures. And don't sleep on Juanita's — incredible food at unbeatable prices, we ate there nearly every day.A huge thanks to Felipe for sharing this special place — ¡muchas gracias!
