« I love this place especially for traveling with children and pets. Easy access from the highway, close by restaurant options, pool for the kids, fenced pet walk area, great breakfast options, rooms are clean and well maintained with plenty of options for everyone to plug in devices. »

« The lobby had a very offensive smell. Like someone had sprayed the place with a bunch of febreze air freshener. One of those smells that stays with you for a while and stayes in your clothes. We stayed on the second floor. Looked like the hallway hadn’t been vacuumed in a while. The room did not have an alarm clock. Breakfast was okay and they kept plenty of fresh cold water in the lobby. Parking was okay. Sites a little tight for a SVU or pickup truck. »

« The reception desk person was very nice and made sure I was able to access the room okay. I was happy that this property was pet friendly. At first glance the room looked good, but when I laid down and looked at the ceiling, I noticed a bunch of red stains above the bed. The area of town the property is in is rundown and a little sketchy and once I got in the room, I locked the door and didn't leave until I checked out in the morning. »

« This was easily one of the filthiest hotels I have ever stayed at. The level of dirt and neglect throughout the property was absolutely shocking. The pool water was greasy and cloudy and looked completely unsanitary. The linens and towels were dirty, the floors were sticky, and the carpet in the hallways and elevator was soaked with some kind of disgusting substance. « The hotel (Mount Vernon Hotel and Event Center - no longer exists under this name) has changed management and did not allow us to stay. They said they could see our reservation and were willing to cancel it, but it was booked under a previous management and they did not allow any pets, so we could not stay with our dog. They said they credited out account, but I am still being charged the full amount by Expedia and it is, so far, very difficult to contact Expedia for a credit. We ended up...
