'The house is exactly what you see in the pictures and more! We had a wonderfull stay and hope to return one day. The view is incredible and the house was amazingly cool for the warm time of year. We were very comfortable. Martin and Becky are the most friendly and lovely hosts we have ever encountered. They were just amazing. And Becky's muffins are delicious! We had an amazing time.'

The cottage itself was very nice and quiet and was a short walk or drive from downtown Camden. 'An excellent waterfront house in owls head.The property was just as described in the listing and accompanying photos, which is not always the case in our experience. The location is very close to all the restaurants and other must-sees in the Rockland area, and the view of the bay and harbor from inside the house is extraordinary. The configuration of the house is very user friendly, and having available ac is a real plus.'

The property manager met us onsite at check-in, even though it was late in the evening and provided us a tour so we knew where everything was situated and how to access the amenities. 'Lovely location right on a quiet cove on Southport Island. House was well equipped and the grounds were shady. The kitchen especially was well equipped with plenty of pans, dishes, and a gas range with 4 eyes plus a griddle. Beds were comfortable and there was plenty of room for relaxing both inside and outside. Highly recommend.'

"Honestly, we really wanted to give a 5 star review, just because Marc was such a great host. But all in all our experience was a bit disappointing - considering what we paid. We had booked a cottage but it was actually a room in a cottage with several other rooms in it. The room itself did not offer the right value for money. It was clean and the bed was great, but everything else felt and looked tired and worn. The curtains looked like they hadn't been replaced since the 90s. There was no microwave or fridge in the room. There was a coffee maker but no condiments to go with it. Camden is a charming place to stay and the High Tide Inn is right on the ocean shore, which probably explains the rates. But if Marc wants to make this place work, he needs to do some work on the place. "
