The view was amazing. Comfortable studio. People extra nice. Beaches near to condo were beautiful and uncrowded.
We never needed to shut the blinds with the positioning of the building.
Loved listening to all the island birds.
So fun.
This was found on the hike to the point. Lots of fish in this lava pool.

A good place to stay when on a budget but wouldn't book again

A few things about this booking: 1. It's in an area of Oahu that isn't near anything else - however, we knew this when we booked and were okay with that! It had beautiful views and we felt very safe in the condo complex. There are a LOT of people experiencing homelessness on the beaches by the complex, so we didn't go to any of those beaches. 2. The unit is definitely older and a bit quirky. However, it had everything we needed - beach towels, cooking equipment, a good living room space, etc. The neighbors beside and above/below were super quiet - we didn't hear a peep from them! 3. Our most significant downsides were that the parking process was hellish - the guard shack was so slow, you had to check in with them and then also go into an office - and then do all of that again to get temporary passes if you were going to check out on the weekend. The host also BLASTED us with messages instead of putting information in the vrbo listing or a printed guide - he sent dozens of messages before we arrived with restaurant recommendations, beach recommendations, etc. Which was kind of him but a bit unnecessary and overwhelming. It made us miss some of the important information he sent because there were so many messages. All that to say! It was a great price and that is why we booked it. It was a beautiful drive out to the property. However, in the future, we'd pay the extra to stay somewhere on the north shore, on the west side, or just outside of Honolulu.

Makaha is beautiful

We did 5 nihht in Waikiki. Only 2 nights in Makaha Wish we had done more time in Makaha. Would recommend stating here. Beautiful view and really nice. Thank you Joe.

We had a enjoyable stay at the condo. It had everything we needed to be comfortable and enjoy the surrounding area. Joe is a great communicator, providing a lot of information about the unit, restaurants, beaches, traffic...everything we needed to know to get the most out of our short stay.

Our Waianae Stay

Joe is an excellent host -- extremely communicative and responsive. The unit is spotless and very comfortable with pretty much everything you could need and a terrific ocean view. Important to know the apartment is located in high-rise apartment complex.We appreciated staying outside of Honolulu in a much less touristy part of Oahu.

Wonderful West Side Stay

Host is kind and very informative. (Expect lots of messages) Unit is cute and close to the beach. There are lots of things outside anyone's control that will impact your trip. Traffic. If you are leaving the West side expect to sit in traffic everywhere. Roosters starting up at 3am with the peacocks in mating season screaming all day/night. Well lit parking lot shines in like a spotlight onto the unit all night - bring a sleep mask. I would stay here again if I was looking for a secluded West side vacation.

A little disappointed

The property was marketed as a 1 bedroom but turned out to be a studio. There was very little comfortable furniture to sit on and a very small table to eat at. The general area was not as appealing as other places we have stayed at in Hawaii. Some of the beaches had homeless tents and the general area was more run down that other places we have stayed at. They had very tight security due to the general safety in the area. The complex was nice but isolated as there were few places to eat at and the golf course down the street was not in good condition. If you want a quiet getaway it is nice except for the peacocks and the chickens which could keep you up. Overall, the place was very small even for two people and due to the security concerns not a place we would come back to.

Nice for a quick trip

Owner and suite lovely. Suiye has pretty much all you need and killer view as its right on the end, ocean side.Considering its in a remote area, you would think its quiet and peaceful. Lots of traffic, busses, residents of the building leaving around 5am blasting over the speedbumps. The area is not close to anything to walk. So a short stay at the price parkimg os okblastingoover speedbumps.

We loved staying at this condo. If was far enough away from the bustle of Waikiki but still close that we could venture off for the day The condo was great! Clean and had everything you needed. If you want a seamless booking, this is NOT THE PLACE for you. The listing does NOT include the parking and extra fees you have to pay like cash deposit, and damage insurance fee. Also, the owner will spam you with so many messages instead of consolidating instructions. It doesnt help that this booking is nonrefundable.
