'Joe Walker Hollow is a relaxing lodge with numerous features that appeal to everyone. After spending 5 days here, it has become a must-stay when in the area. Our group of 8 was attending finals at the Virginia Horse Center. While the 30-minute drive felt long at first, it was easy to commute and the lodge offered a well-needed relaxing environment after a day of horse riding.'

'We had family meet to stay here over Thanksgiving. We all had a great time here enjoying the woods and wildlife. And you will need an all wheel drive vehicle to get down to it, because it's steep. It has all the privacy you want, tucked in the woods overlooking Big Reed Island. We enjoyed the peace and the layout of this unique property with its interesting decor and unique floor plan. Consider this the one if you want a private, relaxing get together spot.'

'Very clean and many smart devices. Host was terrific and even helped us get settled in. Quiet and peaceful. Breaks state park is close by for recreation and Flannagan reservoir looks nice but didn't get a chance to get out on the water there. Thank you! Also renting ATVs to ride was fun. '
