'Main building is restored Vermont-style. Looks really nice and includes a good restaurant (good menu, friendly staff, reasonable prices). Motelrooms are clean and spacious from the inside and - we guess - are getting an exterior update. '

'Very interesting place. I loved the historic feel. However, the floors were very squeaky and almost felt like you could fall through sometimes. The continental breakfast, although appreciated, was very slim. One type of (huge) muffins, stale bagels, yogurt, orange juice, coffee. Having some milk, cereal or fruit would have been nice. Friendly staff however, we barely saw anyone at all.'

'The home and entire property is lovely. Our room was not in the main house but it was roomy, clean and comfortable. Loved the cute Conutry store as well. Charge a little more and include a breakfast voucher. '

'Beautiful old building, well maintained. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Room was great. Bathrooms in these old inns are afterthoughts, this one was squeezed in and did not match the high nightly price the inn charges. Fiberglass tub/shower was adequate but tight so wondered why they bothered with the tub, should have just done a shower and gained some room. Vanity top was in good shape but laminate. More than one floor tile was cracked and in full view from sitting on the toilet,...

'Everything at the Sugar Maple Inn was newly renovated and very clean. The staff was helpful, friendly and accomodating. The food and drink in the lounge were good but pricey. The lounge has a beutiful fireplace but they never lit it up despite staying there on a very cold weekend. '

'Hyde Away Inn, though rustic and simple, was perfectly enjoyable. Accommodations were spare but comfortable and dinner and breakfast excellent. Staff were friendly, courteous and timely. Really a nice place if you don't need all the bells and whistles. The basics were just fine.'
