Venetian Atelier - with private garden in the ancient island of Giudecca, Venice

  • Het huis ligt op het fascinerende eiland Giudecca. San Marcoplein ligt op 12 minuten en het huis slaapt goed 8 personen. Perfect voor vrienden of familie. De buurt is gecomponeerd door oude rijke Venetianen en studio's van jonge kunstenaars. De tuin is een stukje schoonheid.

    De ruimte:
    Deze plaats is een geheim privé-huis in het centrum van Giudecca, tussen Palazzo Stucky (Hilton Hotel) en Harry's Dolci Restaurant.
    Vanaf de bootstop in Giudecca Palanca (bootdienst elke tien minuten, 24 uur per 24 uur), sla rechtsaf, steek Ponte di Sant'Eufemia over, ga naar binnen in een typisch Venetiaans paleis, steek de enorme hal over, bereik de eerste tuin met de grote Magnoliaboom , aan het einde van de tuin is er een kleine en verborgen deur tussen palmas en rozen. Die deur opent Secret Venetian House. Steek de ruikende rozen, jasmijn, bloemen en kruidenplanten over. Geen geluiden, geen mensen, gewoon parfums en ontspannen.
    Het huis is prachtig, met sculpturen en originele schilderijen van Venetiaanse kunstenaars: open haard in de woonkamer, tv, muziek, drie banken, schilderijen, een verbazingwekkende tweepersoons slaapkamer op de tweede verdieping met een eigen badkamer, een slaapkamer met tweepersoonsbed (gasten slaapkamer) en een vierpersoonskamer (kinderkamer) op de eerste verdieping in het nachtgedeelte van het huis met een eigen badkamer.
    Mogelijkheid om te eten in de tafel in het huis of onder het prieel in de tuin.
    Geniet van de tuin in Venetië, vooral 's ochtends met een typisch Italiaans ontbijt. Het zal een zeldzame mooie ervaring zijn.

    Gasttoegang:
    Je hebt toegang tot het hele huis en de hele tuin. Er zijn geen limieten of beperkingen.
    Wat je ziet is wat je krijgt!
    Het huis wordt voor uw aankomst en na uw vertrek schoongemaakt door een schoonmaakploeg.
    Een schonere dame is dagelijks beschikbaar op aanvraag.

    Ik zal beschikbaar zijn voor alle vragen voor en na uw verblijf.
    Ik zal tijdens de hele periode van uw verblijf telefonisch bereikbaar zijn.

    Het overzicht van wijken:
    zeer stille, zeer artistieke en zeer bohemien-stijl plek. Het is ongelofelijk dat elke plek in Venice Center binnen 15 minuten te bereiken is!

    Supermarkt Coop (9 - 19) en originele zeer oude Fishermen Fish shop (telefoonnummer verborgen)) bevinden zich in Fondamenta van Giudecca, 3 minuten lopen.
    Zeer goede restaurants en pizzeria zijn beschikbaar in 5 minuten lopen. Persoonlijk reccomand ik de Pizzeria Do Mori, het Hilton Restaurant en het Very Glamour Italian Restaurant van Cipriani: Harry's Dolci (mijn favoriet!).

    SkyLine Hilton Luxury Top Bar op de top van het Molino Stucky Palace op 3 minuten lopen zou een goede optie kunnen zijn om een drankje te nemen terwijl je Venetië vanaf het hoogste punt van de stad bekijkt.
    Het eiland San Giorgio en zijn prachtige exposities in Fondazione Cini van kunst en architectuur zijn te voet of per veerboot in enkele minuten bereikbaar.
    San Marcoplein bereikbaar in 8 minuten met de veerboot vanaf de veerhaven Palanca naar de veerboothalte San Zaccaria (nummers 4. 2 of 2).
    Treinstation Santa Lucia bereikbaar in 15/20 minuten met de veerboot vanaf de veerhaven van Palanca naar de veerboothaven van Santa Lucia (nummers 2 of 4. 1).
    Het parkeerterrein van Tronchetto of het parkeerterrein van Piazzale Roma is bereikbaar in 15 minuten met de veerboot vanaf de veerhaven Palanca naar de veerbootterminal Tronchetto of de veerboothaven Piazzale Roma (nummers 2 of 4. 1).
    Luchthaven Rechable in 45 minuten met de veerboot of met de veerboot en bus.

Family Friendly Home in Great Location

Our Family happily stayed at this residence for nearly a week. It was great to have a location that was away from the daunting crowds on the main island, but also in close proximity a number of nice restaurants, cafes, art galleries and more. The house was very comfortable for our whole family and the large, enclosed grassy backyard was truly lovely.

A lovely apartment, huge garden, some minor issues

Great place but the bedding smelled a bit and the apartment in general was not very clean. With some fresh sheets and bedding and a good cleaner, it would be spectacular

Beautiful and friendly home on the Giudecca

We stayed in the house with another family and first of all the location was perfect ! The house is right on the Giudecca canal with a magnificent view of St Marc which is opposite and it is just one stop away by boat from the main island ! Very convenient and easy ! There are lots of little shops and cafes about 30 metres from the house so you can load up the fridge easily with local and fresh products. The atmosphere on the Giudecca is really nice and most importantly you are away from the crowd ! The garden of the house is really nice, we came in winter so did not use it much but having a garden in Venice is quite something and we will try to go back in spring or summer ! We felt really at home in this property and we will definitively return. Ciro who is in charge and the owner are very nice and accommodating. Some of the furniture and decoration is a bit dated but we found that it was charming and it felt like we were staying at some friends' place. It looks better than on the pictures which is not always the case...! The only thing I would suggest to the owner is not to have so many cutlery, plates, glasses etc… to give a good clean to the cupboards and make it a bit more practical in the kitchen ! Apart from that 10/10 !

A little Oasis in the sea of Venice

Amidst all the hussle and bustle of the beautiful city of Venice we found the Old Venetian House to be the perfect oasis where we could relax and enjoy the surroundings. The location is perfect a short boat ride to the main city and there are plenty of local restaurants and shops to satisfy anyone's tastes. The space was well laid out although seemed over cluttered with possessions of the owner. Whilst clean it was in need of some TLC and would benefit from a general redecoration. The rooms were ok but we had no hanging space and the drawers were full again of the owners clothes which we found quite odd. Overall we found it well presented and the owner very helpful. Ciro was always available if we needed anything and was very flexible with our leaving time. I would recommend this place and would return if we visit the island again

wonderful home, removed from tourism

My wife and I accompanied her family on a trip to Europe that began in Venice (we then Cruised to Greece). I had been to Venice before and stayed in a home on Lido and suggested that we do something similar. I immediately fell in love with Ciro's villa. Working with Ciro via email was easy and being greeted at the villa by Ciro's mother was great. She appreciated that I spoke Italian and gave us some great tips on where to eat in Giudecca. The house provides everything one would need with the bonus of an beautiful outdoor space. The one complaint that we had was one from my Father-in-law about no screens on the windows. He couldn't wrap his head around why there weren't any, but he was really the only person bothered. A few of us were bitten by mosquitoes but no one else cared. I will definitely recommend this villa to friends and family who need similar housing while on vacation. Molte grazie, Ciro, per un buon soggiorno!

Wonderful house, gorgeous location. Satisfied!

This is the perfect place to stay. The house is wide, well furnished, comfortable and well connected with all the main tourist stops. The indoor is spacious and cozy as well as the garden outside. I wish we could come back soon, Venice is breathtaking too

Bellissima casa antica immersa in un giardino rigoglioso e tranquillo, un angolo di paradiso! Ottimo servizio e accoglienza meglio che in hotel! La consiglio vivamente a chi cerca un weekend o una settimana in totale relax in una delle più belle città del mondo: Venezia.

Amazing stay in Venice

A beautiful house in a beautiful city! This is definitely the best place to stay in Venice, especially if you are a large family or a group of friends. Its 2 double-bedrooms + 1 bedroom with 2 bunkle beds allow each guest to have his privacy. The kitchen is separated from the living-room, which is always a good thing! In the living room there are two couches in front of a magnificient huge fireplace. Not something you usually get in your vacation-home! If you are lucky enough to visit the city during the Spring/Summer/Autumn, you can enjoy its "secret" garden: a green paradise where you can lay down and enjoy a glass of wine! This house, made of red bricks and lighten by large windows, might easily be better than your own house, and considering the fact that it's located in one of the most beautiful city in the world, well that just makes it perfect!

Lovely house and the same as the pictures

Lovely place, kind hosts, amazing house and good position. I spent 6 days in this house with 3 friends, we were two couples with two bathrooms and two double rooms, there were perfect! It's easy go to the Center city and also go to the train station. I love Venice and this house too, especially for the garden! I'll come back

The house is a paradise!

The garden is amazing and the rooms are really comfortable. The house is very well furnished and very cosy. It feels like you are in paradise! The kitchen could be a bit more modern but everything is working and well structured. I found the area very convenient, it is off the busy roads but still quite close to the centre. The owner is really nice and helpful and the house was properly clean! Definitely recommended

Hidden gem

This house is a hidden gem tucked away from the chaos of the main island but still overlooking and within all the beauty of Venice. Its simple and tasteful decor and beautiful garden made for a relaxing and memorable holiday. The location is key - it's easy to get to compared to other locations that you have to navigate many streets to find. The view from Guidecca is also spectacular. This house has everything you need to enjoy a perfect holiday in Venice.
