'The building and rooms were really lovely, clean, and well finished. What really set this hotel apart for us was the staff and hospitality! We had two stays booked at Illampu, before and after a tour to the Uyuni salt flats. I had left a suitcase stored with the hotel during our tour. 'The hotel exceeded my expectations. Excellent location in Calacoto, just across the street from the cable car with great connection to the rest of La Paz. Room was clean and comfortable. I had a problem with the TV and the safety box and they fixed immediately. Breakfast was good and staff was friendly. I definitely recommend it.'

Je moet echt gaan naar Gustu, een restaurant met alleen Boliviaanse gerechten, lekkere wijn, top! Hardrock cafe is ook een aanrader en deze zit in het winkelcentrum dus kan je ook nog even shoppen. 'A perfect option if you want a party hostel, less good if you want to rest at a 5 star hotel. We were on the 7th floor and a party upstairs on the 9th continued until almost 1am, with loud music coming down the open sides of the building and into our room. When I went to discuss with reception, the manager Mariana Pereira gave me the option of dealing with it or leaving the hotel (at midnight). The party upstairs probably paid the hotel a lot of money to rent the space so they didn't care about...
