'Great location to get from car park to hotel, store luggage then explore Matera on foot. (We saw a number of guests struggling up and down stairs in the Ild Town with large bags.)

'This was the MOST AMAZING place I have ever stayed at. This is not a hotel it's truly an experience. From the minute you walk in the doors you are transformed back in time. I have traveled alot it is my job and this is a one of a kind. The staff is outrageously qualified and beyond helpful. The room amazing. The food and culture exceedEd my expectations. I will forever love this place'

'the room was clean. Breakfast was coffee tea and espresso. Biscuits and fruit and cereal. The place was hard to find with GPS. From main road turn right at Egpt gas station go 200 yards up and on your left.Owner very helpful with restaurants and about the Sasses. The Sasses are about 500 yards down the street on your right.'

'Great location if u are w a car; staff was very attentive, room was lovely and very functional and breakfast was great w variety and fresh items.
Antonella checked me in and since the gym was not open, she let me borrow 2 weights so I could work out in my room; both male bartenders in the evening (my apologies, I did not get their names) were so accommodating and Laura at breakfast on Sunday was so lovely and attentive. GREAT hotel when u visit Matera.'

'Excellent location on a 15-20 minutes walk to old town Matera. Parking in front of the gate in the street is free. In the morning it will be rather full, but when checking in around 1500 o'clock almost empty. Beds, room, bathroom and shower were spacious and clean. No noise from other rooms or from street. All pictures of location are accurate, so we didnt make new ones. Many cats in the garden, but not in the house. Breakfast comes with different coffee options, tea, yoghurt and fruit juice....

'I stumbled across this hotel whilst looking at a 5* property. I’m so glad I booked here. The owner Roberto and his colleague Francesco were so welcoming. The room I booked was fabulous. The wellness room with jacquzzi and Sauna on a separate level. The communication before arrival and check in was brilliant. Car parking booked and the hotel was easy enough to find. The views from the hotel of the sassi are amazing. The breakfast was so nice, something for everyone. On checkout we had a good chat...
