Poolside Desert Hideaway is a modern Southwestern desert home with a mix of comfort and convenience near the edge of Joshua Tree National Park.

It features two bedrooms, one bathroom, a convertible sofabed, multiple patios, courtyards, and a deepwater inground swimming pool. This little retreat is located in a safe residential neighborhood on paved roads and less than 3 miles from Joshua Tree National Park entrance in Twentynine Palms.

Poolside Desert Hideaway can host a maximum of six guests with tiered nightly rates starting with double occupancy. Enter your group quantity for a rate specific to your needs.

Access your vacation hideaway through a private gate leading you to a courtyard filled with flowers, a water fountain, and visiting birds. Enter the house to find all the conveniences you seek. The family room is the spot to gather during crisp nights around a gas fireplace or settle in after a long day of excursions. The smartTV plus streaming services if you're looking to binge-watch. The kitchen is well-equipped with small and large appliances and includes coffee, teas, basic spices, and pantry items with direct access to the south patio and gas barbeque.

Control your climate comfort with a gas wall heater in the main living space along with mini-split air-conditioning for the warmer months. Each bedroom has a mini-split providing heat/AC with a ceiling fan for all-season added comfort.

The first guest room has a queen bed and a modern southwest palette to soothe your soul. The primary bedroom, also with a queen bed, includes a smartTV with streaming Apps, direct access to the bathroom, and french doors leading to the backyard and inground pool area.

Hang out under the patio reading a book, soak in the desert sun on the loungers, or take the plunge into the 10' deep water pool. You can set your own vibe for a nighttime dip with the color LED pool light but we ask that no amplified music be played and respect neighbors and quiet hours.

Each patio and front courtyard has coverings for shade and seating options to enjoy. The south patio has a table for outdoor meals, a gas bbq, and access to the garage.

The sleeper sofa is a convertible type that requires the guest to make up for use. A 2" foam topper for added comfort is provided along with a linens and pillows kit for quick deployment at bedtime.

A double garage allows for space to store your bikes or climbing gear along with parking, full laundry facilities, pool toys, and floats. Folding camp chairs available for your excursions!

The location is perfect for buzzing into town to visit local shops and eateries or grab supplies. If you're exploring Joshua Tree National Park or visiting the observatory the entrance is just 3 miles to the south. For local flair, you're just moments away from art galleries, the acclaimed Theatre 29, Tortoise Rock Casino, a self-guided mural tour, the National Park Visitor Center, Saturday's farmers market, and the newly completed Freedom Plaza in the City Centre.

THINGS TO NOTE:

Poolside Desert Hideaway is located by nearby homes. The size and infrastructure are appropriate for groups no larger than six people. We have a zero-tolerance policy for undeclared guests who are subject to $75 extra per person per night and may forfeit their reservation without a refund. If you have friends joining you for a visit, please notify us in advance.

Our local municipality requires a signed rental agreement and ID verification.

Bees, critters, and bugs are drawn to the pool water. You may hear owls splashing at night or find something that couldn't escape. There is a net available for recovery, leaves, and sticks. Professional pool service is on Wednesday generally mid-day (but may adjust) and will be accessing the yard. Service is typically completed in 20-30 minutes.

The pool is not heated therefore not practical for swimming in the winter months. We do not cover the pool so guests are welcome to dip their toes or feel free to take a dare dunk but swimming season is typically April/May through October.

To assist in utility consumption please utilize the heaters/coolers in rooms you are actively using and turn them off while away.

Electric car owners, we have no dedicated charger. If charging please only do so during the mornings or overnight. ON-PEAK electricity is 4 -9 pm and request you do not charge during Peak hours. Tortoise Rock Casino offers Tesla charging stations and Chargepoint stations at the nearby Oasis Visitor Center; both locations are a 3-minute drive from the house. Eat, shop and explore using Freedom Plaza Chargepoint station.

Understand the desert is a wild environment that may have high winds, rains, and extreme temperatures. The guest may experience bugs, mice, snakes, birds of prey, coyote, bobcat, and other wild animals. Proximity with any of the above will not constitute a refund or discount. Be mindful to keep doors closed so critters do not sneak inside!

For guest safety and property protection, a camera is facing the parking area and entrance. Do not tamper with or disable the camera. Our guest’s privacy is paramount, hangout areas and interior spaces are without cameras and completely private.

Guests acknowledge the presence of a noise alert monitoring device in order to ensure that neighborhood noise levels are respected. The device cannot record actual sounds or conversations but may contact guests via text when decibel readings outside of guidelines are reached.
