We live in Missouri my brother in law in Tennessee passed away unexpectedly. We booked a room at the Econo lodge to go to the funeral. I call the hotel the next morning to let them know the weather was going to be horrible tornados and hail storms so if we could not make it? Could we get a refund? The desk man did not know. We waited another day to watch the storms. I emailed expedia and asked if they knew if we could get a refund? The email back stated the rules for that establishment said no refunds. I call the hotel again and asked the desk clerk said i would have to talk to the boss. He was unavailable. We never could make it due to weather conditions so not only did we miss my brother in laws funeral? We lost 260.00 !! We are so disappointed with the Econo Lodge in Shelbyville. And expedia cuz we paid extra for the insurance!! Both of them made a difficult situation for my family even worse.
