Nice size room for a family right in town. Being right above the bar with live music until 11:30pm wasnt good with kids. Didnt get much sleep - no prior indication during booking process or during check-in was provided unfortunately. Breakfast included was good.

Was disappointed that the site indicated check in was 2pm but we wernt allowed to check in until 4. Not a lot to offer to this small town. A little disappointed that we planned our vacation travelling in distances around check ins

A little Gem, although the Hotel is a little older than the big “modern “ hotels it more than made up with the cleanliness, comfort and value. As we found during our visit the people of Ireland are warm and welcoming and the staff at Murphys are no exception to this, We would highly recommend this hotel and would certainly stay here again. They serve a good pint of Guinness 👍

We had dinner in the hotel, food arrived quickly, was good, but waited 40 minutes for plates to be lifted, no one asked if we wanted a desert. Would still go back though.

Great hotel and location with excellent food.
Room clean and tidy. Excellent simple shower. Bed comfortable. Staff friendly. While all the above were very good, to our mind the jewel in the crown was the excellent food. Unusual for us we ate in the hotel every one of the 4 evenings and therefore tasted a wide variety of the food on offer. Every dish was excellent allied to a very good breakfast a great place to eat.

Murphys Hotel
I had a lovely stay at Murphys Hotel. The first surprise was the large car park to the rear, as the Hotels.com app indicated there was no on site parking! The staff were all chatty and helpful. The room was surprisingly large and very comfortable. The food in the bar was also delicious and the portions at breakfast were huge. I definitely wasn’t hungry for the rest of the day!

Tried to change extra fees, unclean & bad service
On check in they tried to make us pay extra fees. The room was unclean and the smell was overwhelming. When we ask to change we were told they could help that previous guests had left a smell and they would not allow us to change room. We were told at check-in that breakfast was until 12 but when we arrived down at 11 we found out it was over.

El recibimiento fue muy frío, la habitación grande, un poco anticuada, la mampara de la ducha estaba bastante deteriorada. Hotel correcto para una noche. Desayuno muy bueno. Fácil aparcamiento.

Murphy’s Hotel - overnight stay
A quick overnight stay as part of our touring trip of the South. Check in was quick and easy. Everyone was friendly and helpful and very attentive. We would definitely stay here again, it’s in the heart of the town.

We have stayed at hostels that provided more and were in better condition. The photos are rather misleading. However, the staff is exceptionally nice and we only had to stay there one night.
