'I have never been a beach, bars and booze guy so I never thought of coming to Bali. After visiting Kintamani and staying at Villa Jempana I am regretting not coming sooner. Serene views of the lake and caldera, central to lots of drives and the sunrises and sunsets, even in the rainy season were stunning. If being comfortable and cared for while quietly watching the farmers water their fields is you kinda thing, I can’t recommend enough. Ask for Molex.'

'The photos don't truly capture how beautifully landscaped the property is, with lush, beautiful tropical plants everywhere. If you're after a 'jungle' experience, this is for you (surprisingly few mosquitos!) The rooms are cute and basic, but comfortable with great vistas of the jungle. I like how you're supporting a family-run business too. '

'This place is a gem and perhaps it should remain a bit of a hidden one, but I highly recommend this resort. If you are looking for a bit of reflection surrounded by nature and with wonderful on-site, guided meditations (in which the staff participates, which makes it even more special), you will love it here. It is actually even better than in the pictures. '

'Property was nice, air conditioning downstairs struggles (too small, could be upgraded and larger). Mosquito prevention tools much appreciated. Plenty of free bottled water. Breakfast daily delivered by friendly staff. Staff helpful and arranged a few services for us.'

'The property was excellent and the service was great. The only issues I would mention is the distance you have to walk to the Villa. There a a number of steps up and down the mountain. Also the number of staff are limited so getting hold of them can be a challenge. Also it was hard to communicate without knowing the language. But the staff were extremely helpful. Highly recommended the 3 Bedroom Agung Villa but take note if you are staying with the kids that the pool is not blocked off. But...
