'At 3:00am the night manager allowed a group of high school graduates to stay at the hotel (presumably they had been thrown out of their first choice). I was informed that one of the group was a friend of a friend of the night manager. 'My most recent experience at this hotel was awful. I booked and paid through Expedia, but when I arrived to check in, the person at the front desk immediately said “no locals” in a rude and dismissive tone. If this hotel refuses local guests, that policy should be clearly stated on both Expedia and the hotel’s own website before anyone books and pays. 'Beautiful conversion of a historic courthouse with loads of character. Spacious, clean rooms, a very comfortable bed, and a good included breakfast. Free parking and 10-15 minute walk to the waterfront and downtown restaurants. A few areas are a little scruffy (surrounding grounds more than anything), but it didn’t take away from an enjoyable stay. For us and our dogs. Would definitely stay again.'

'Spacious rooms but noisy. Airco does it's work but sounds like a F-16 engine. Kingsize and room with queens: both very hard matras. Staff friendly and helpfull (as your bathroom door is (b)locked from the outside ... and forgood diner suggestions). Continental breakfast good. '

He has a cane and I have a walker. Close to eating and shopping, but we can't do it much at all. Quite a night for sleeping which was very appreciated. Even day time was quite as well.
